Those specifications at USD1900 ?!?!? Is it for real?

Yes, saw that on ebay, same seller.

Anyway, i ordered the W530 from a local forum seller.
Waiting for it to arrive in few weeks time.

Saw the notebook memory Corsair 8GB 1600 DDR3 sold @ $99 at fuwell. Should be compatible with W530 right?

I saw that price a few days ago too.
was looking for the 2x4gb corsair vengeance
Vengeance®

Not sure if this is it?

newegg got it for usd55...

confirm its 1x8gb

hmmm anyone can share if 2x4gb or 1x8gb will be better ah?

aside from possible scalability in the future as I'm very certain 8gb will be enough for my usage

Some say 2 x 4GB better because of dual channel. Don't know if this theory is still applicable today.

2x4G is always for two reasons. 1. For dual channel 2. In case of one ram has problem, you can always take one of them out for isolation.

Hi guys,
been reading through the threads but can't seem to find a confirmed answer to my following doubt.

I ordered a T530 from Lenovo USA with the default 1 year warranty. So I would like to ask:
1) Is this 1 year warranty international (as in the laptop can be serviced in SGP?
2) If I upgrade to 3 years warranty, international as well?

Thanks!

Normally should have international warranty, if buying from lenovo website.
To be sure, go to Lenovo Support - International Warranty Service (IWS)
Key in your 4-digit machine type.
Should be one of these for T530
2359, 2394, 2392, 2393, 2429

But as you can see if you try the above digits, not every machine-type is supported in every country. I think is mainly to do with availability of parts.
Singapore seems to be in all.

3 years warranty just get the basic bring-in upgrade, which should be international. I do not THINK that on-site service extends internationally.

Anyone here interested in getting Crucial M4 mSATA SSDs for your thinkpad?

Able to get some pieces with local warranty, price wise is slightly more expensive than the M4 currently retailing in SLS.

Drop me a PM by tonight if you're interested :)

Thanks for the info.
The on-site should only be applicable to US i suppose. Will just get the basic 3 year warranty upgrade.

Hmm for my case, with my experience with claiming onsite warranty from Lenovo Singapore, Onsite warranty is valid for my model.. W520. They honour as long as you have the proof of purchase from Lenovo US.... of course your Model should be covered under IWS to be eligible. So remember to check that!

Finally received my T530 from US!

For the 3 year base warranty upgrade, how is the warranty applied to the laptop after I purchase it separately from the website again?

Before the checkout confirmation, it prompts for shipping address. Does this mean a warranty document will be shipped?

I know the original 1 year depot warranty covers IWS.But the additional 3 year base warranty i was told only covered in US.Correct me if i am wrong.
