Finally received my T530 from US!

For the 3 year base warranty upgrade, how is the warranty applied to the laptop after I purchase it separately from the website again?

Before the checkout confirmation, it prompts for shipping address. Does this mean a warranty document will be shipped?

Hi, how heavy is the t530? i intend to get 1 too.

Can you get the warranty in sg? or buy 3yr extended warranty later or when u order? Thks.

good replacement for aging T61?

Hi everyone,

I have a 4 year old T61 whose fan is dying out, and it is clearly showing signs of age.

Would a T430 be a good replacement? I love the T61 keyboard and its reliability. Use it only for work and internet.

Also I have an Intel 320 SSD in my current T61, would I be able to move it to the new T430?

much thanks for your feedback.

I just bought the T430 and the keyboard is different from the older model.

As for SSD, you will need to use a 7mm height SSD for the new T430. The 12.5mm HDD will not go into the HDD Slot.

Thanks for the feedback. How is your experience with this new keyboard on the t430? Which SSD brand would you recommend?

thank you

How do you order from Lenovo US? I tried to use Amazon checkout and Comgateway a few months ago but it require something else which I cant provide. Can't remember exactly what it was but something to do with US based credit card or social ID.

With amazon checkout, you can link your SG credit card.
With comgateway, it gives you a US address and phone number.

That's was all I needed

Thanks for the tip. Just to reconfirm with Amazon checkout you can't customize the specs?

Thank you for the feedback. Would you happen to have a t430 as well? what is your opinion about it? the keyboard is something I am quite particularly about as I do a lot of document typing on it.

thanks again.

Mine was 3 years onsite warranty..... and I claimed before from Singapore Lenovo.

As long as have official invoice and the serial number/model number is registered for IWS...

Anyone buying X230 direct from US lenovo?
Within the next few days?
I need to tompang help for getting the ultrabase (cheaper if buying with laptop).

In return, I can assist you with getting the best deal.
Bought 3 laptops before.... so know the ins and outs of getting it!
Including some 'extra' techniques... to save you some money

(Will of course pay u for the ultrabase + GST la)
