Scam Alert: Beware of SMS claiming BN government is giving away RM500 via Touch ‘n Go eWallet
Same as before MCO. No extras documents needed. Only RM is weakening further which is a benefits to us.Side track what is required to be done before entering Malaysia now?
Update: My RFID tag is activated on 27-October, but only activated and appeared in TnG app on 30-October. I have also noticed that the ID tag in the TnG app is the long one (24- characters), not the same as the Tag no. (8-characters) issued y TCSens VCC. Really amazing!Recently, TnG has updated with my Passport ID and Passport Number in my TnG app. Not sure where is the problem now. Until now, I still cannot see my new VEP RFID tag in my TnG app, as tag activation was on 27-October.
Ours was done preCovid n was tagged for us on our windscreen.
my friend did it recently but didn’t mention whether they tag it for him.
That I didn’t notice. Think will receive email ba…same.. done in 2019, applied onto the windscreen inside the car in the top middle near the rearview mirror
but i read is valid for 5 years only right? so 2024 need to do it again
Touch n go card to pay for the VEP charges of more than Rm20 and if go by tuas custom, Will need to pay toll charges.Side track what is required to be done before entering Malaysia now?
Busy with their GE preparation next week. Lolz. Even without GE, slow is inside their gene. Bolehland is like this. Have to live with it.Somehow I received email to login to VepEp website to upload my vehicle documents. However the website does not recognise my login credentials. But the VEP jpj website is able to allow me to login.
Tried emailing Helpdesk but no response at all.
1) At that entry point, for TnG System to deduct from your eWallet, you will need VEP RFID tag (which you have not installed/activated) or a physical TnG card (linked to your eWallet app) which you also don't have.Hello All, i just applied for VEP. Receive email to select postage for VEP RFID or self collect.
There is only 1 location to so self collect which is at Danga Bay. I intend to do self collection as i read some where they can install for you at 10rm? I have not entered malaysia for years, so need some advice.
1. I am unable to get touch n go card now, can i use touch n go e wallet to pay for the custom charges?
2. Will I be rejected to enter Malaysia by their immigration because i dont have VEP-RFID TAG?
3. Anything to take know for first timer applicant to VEP and to install it?
thanks in advance
Continue to carry the TnG Card even when your eWallet has been approved & VEP RFID is installed/activated, as there may be incidences the RFID breaks down or only one of the charges was deducted & the other charge you have to tap the TnG Card on the reader to pay for it.Thanks for the info. i did some check online that its hard to get a touch n go card now due to lack of stock. Really need to try borrow from someone
During the early stages of VEP & using TnG for VEP, there were some suggestions in the VEP Forums not to perform Verification for the TnG app.
In my case my partner uses TnG eWallet, without any TnG cards linked to the app. She also didn't perform any verification for the app. She is registered for VEP.
For my part, I didn't create an eWallet with the app but I've 2 TnG Cards linked with the TnG app. I did verification & during verification I'd to take a photo of my passport & provide an email. I am not a registered VEP driver - I don't own a car.
Account Verification is mandatory when linking the TnG Card with its app, but not mandatory for eWallet.
https://support.tngdigital.com.my/h...s-Account-Verification-eKYC-mandatory-for-me-
TnG Card Account Verification requires passport which is in conflict with VEP Registration which requires NRIC. Because of this conflict your VEP RFID eco (during application or maybe even after approval) may be disrupted.
So now my partner carries one card & I carry the other one, for parking & tapping to pay eg at Watsons.
Having the app into 2 different phones, we manage the balances in each: hers for her eWallet & mine for the 2 TnG Cards.
So if possible better to separate the eWallet & Cards.
There is no sales of physical T&G cards at both customs and no top up facilities too. Since Apr this year when the custom reopens, whole of JB OOS on this card.just got mine approved
can check if you guys collect via postage or self-collect(means must go into JB?)
if T&G card expired, can buy new one at woodlands customs?
after installation of VEP means can go thru RFID lanes?
Keep old school style too even you have this VEP installed. There are cases whereby this system is down and you do not have a physical card, you suck thumb. All these years travelling to and from JB, I have never believed in bolehland system. This is just me.Thanks for the info. i did some check online that its hard to get a touch n go card now due to lack of stock. Really need to try borrow from someone
What about installation of Vep rfid? There is no sales of physical T&G cards at both customs and no top up facilities too. Since Apr this year when the custom reopens, whole of JB OOS on this card.
I would suggest you go online (carousel) pay premium once and save all the headaches.
Applied. Approved. Received email asked me go pay and select mode of collection. I have yet to deal with it. One month ago. What about installation of Vep rfid?
you guys do postage or go to collection in JB?
If I didnt understand wrongly, you could actually use the mobile t&g app to topup?Applied. Approved. Received email asked me go pay and select mode of collection. I have yet to deal with it. One month ago.
Every week i continue my trip. Always have credit in T&G card. Make sure i top up it up at before i return SG.
