Ad-blocking apps have surged to the top of Apple's paid iPhone app chart in the US, just days after the release of iOS 9. As of Friday morning, ad-blocking apps accounted for three of the top five paid apps, and four of the top 20. Peace, which launched yesterday at a price of $2.99, is currently at the top spot, followed by Crystal ($0.99) at number two and Purify Blocker ($3.99) at number four.

yup. the more expensive app is number 1. while crystal which was free (at least for yesterday)
it's heating up.

I wonder how the ad-blockers are going to stand out from one another. Peace uses the Ghostery database, but it seems that most just use a standard set of ad profiles and maybe make minor customisations from there.

Looking at the iOS app store in singapore. Seems purify is the top paid app, no other ad blocker anywhere near the top 100? :s22:
