I was considering the iPad mini 6 but when I saw it in real life, the thought disappear. I don't know but it looks kinda last gen due to the bezel with its size. Was of two minds whether to buy the Mini or the 11" Pro. When I went to the Orchard store, they told me it's sold out.
Went with the 11" Pro instead.
Explanation makes sense but I can't see the jelly effect when I'm scrolling on my iPad Air 4 horizontally. Maybe my eyes not good but in this case it is better since it won't bother me haha.
Basically it really depends on where the screen starts to refresh. Be it horizontally or vertically. In this case the ipad mini 6 refreshes vertically. Unlike the ipad air, that refreshes horizontally. When placing the ipad air horizontally, you can also see the same jelly effect. The only way to combat this issue is to get to 120hz display. That wont be noticeable. Just like the video explain about the ipad pro 120hz display.
I guess 60hz is more noticeable if you use a larger screen and slightly lower quality hardware. Example iphone 60hz display is less noticeable.
Iinitially did not see it. Cause most of the time i was playing videos or gaming in horizontal mode on the ipad mini 6. It is more apparent when in vertical mode reading text. Which i personally do not do or be bothered by it.
I guess as an android user whom been using 120hz display most of the time are pretty spoilt, going back 60hz is like im suffering from arthritis. Lol
Just to cover the back only got clear TPU casing. Is cheap but it isnt really good. I have a colleague that bought it from lazada, within 2 weeks it starts to cloud/yellowish lol. What cases besides apple official you all use ?
I just need for the back…any recommendations?
Thanks… I’m looking for a good clear back cover … I have also ordered the MOFT tablet standJust to cover the back only got clear TPU casing. Is cheap but it isnt really good. I have a colleague that bought it from lazada, within 2 weeks it starts to cloud/yellowish lol.
For flip cover got a few cheap ones outside but the quality really meh. And in SG the AmazingThing is the only flip cover now that i personally felt is the best for now.
Upcoming cases will be from Spigen and UAG. Spigen has a case you are looking for covering the back only.
Thanks for mentioning the MOFT tablet stand - I've checked it out too and ordered it. Looks like a great product haha. Thanks… I’m looking for a good clear back cover … I have also ordered the MOFT tablet stand
not all units are affected.Just got the mini 6. The jelly scroll effect is quite visible. It’s more visible than what Youtube videos can accurately show you.
For those who want to buy, I recommend you at least see it in store first.
Echo-chamber..Strange … YouTube have many videos saying that mini 6 is not good but apple store out of stock until November
My sentiments exact. The size is perfect and how often do you scrub your fingers up and down rapidly? I thought it’s perfect for reading novels or comics and some media consumption and doesn’t weigh you or fingers downEcho-chamber..
Alot on Reddit and MacRumors also saying they won't get/will return theirs, but these are tech-enthusiast and are only a small percentage of users
In reality most people don't care and probably don't know the issues/problems until you point it out to them
Waiting for the UAG case to drop, before getting the Mini.Just to cover the back only got clear TPU casing. Is cheap but it isnt really good. I have a colleague that bought it from lazada, within 2 weeks it starts to cloud/yellowish lol.
