It works irregardless. Not the hardware. It’s the software. And yes I’m still using 5w to charge but I don’t plug in overnight as I have quite substantial amt of percentage left.

Ya, This is what I was thinking too, guess we need to use it for a while to see it working...

Anyway i heard the iPhone stops charging above 80% until quite sometime, does it happen all the time? What if you wants it to be 100 in the afternoon before you head out? Any options to disable that?

The closest is disable optimise battery charging.

All phone usually stop charging at full speed when they hit 80% regardless on or off this option

The optimised battery charging works in a way that it remembers your routine on how you deplete the battery, when do you use it, do you use it while charging.

Scenario A: it learns that you always plug in overnight to charge at say 12mn. By right last time before iOS 13 don’t have this feature, the batt will be fully charged by 2am. Current cuts off automatically. Now it will charge to 80% by 1am+, cuts off current and stays at 80% until it remembers that you put alarm at 7am, it will start to charge from 80-100% at 6am. So that you’ll have a 100% battery at 7am.

Scenario B: this is my charging pattern scenario. I charge during office hours. As and when while it’s being charged I do use the phone every now and then. It remembers and learns that, there isn’t an idling time that I don’t touch the phone. Hence after it reaches 80%, it’ll still continue to progress to charge up to 100% without stopping.

Hmmmm. I do not charge my phone overnight. I always ensure its 100 or 99 before i sleep. So when i wake up its still around 95. I only charge when its below 40% at anytime of the day... hope it wont affect

Optimised battery charging is more for people who leave it charging for a LONG duration. It will charge to 80% and stop there. Only when it is close to like your wake alarm or normal usage then it will make sure it charges to full before such detected time.

Need to wait for WhatsApp update to support Haptic Touch. They are nototriously slow in implementing new features.

Anybody encounter inconsistent phone locking sound?

Sometimes when I lock my phone it sounds loud, but sometimes very soft. Phone volume never changed at all.
