Seems like Whatsapp could be a problem? i'm surprised they took so long to update to take advantage of the new iPhone 5 resolution. I'm speculating that there are problems with iOS6 and Whatsapp hence the update is taking longer than it should.

My gf's iPhone - morning left home with 85% (phone drained 15% overnight), reached office, took 3-4 pictures, about 5mins on Whatsapp, sent five photos via Whatsapp. Facebook abt 5mins.

At 2:56pm, left 29%. With LTE off.

Definitely something wrong.

Even though starhub no LTE, make sure the LTE option is turned off. I would think that it would keep trying to search for an LTE signal even if there is none if the option is still enabled. Hence the battery drain.

May I know where is the setting to turn off the LTE? I check my iphone but couldn't locate the LTE option. only manage to find 3G option.

Thanks

Oh, I didn't know that need to select plan with or without LTE. I just purchase the starhub 58/mth plan. I don't see any LTE option in any of their price plan. Thought all come with LTE as standard package.

I'm on LTE/Wireless mixed, several push e-mails going at the same time, several voice calls since morning. Brightness set to approx 50-75%.

Usage: 2hrs 11 mins
Standby: 8hrs

Battery remaining: 55%

I think the battery is a lot better than iPhone 4S. I can easily run it till the end of the day without charging whereas the iPhone 4S used to be in trouble by end of the day.

LTE is awesome on Singtel. The 3G spectrum is so crowded, it's impossible to use. Hopefully LTE doesn't go the same way. Hopefully the lower data limits will help.

Phone drain 15% overnight is definitely strange. Mine is like a few % only.

Battery life great here, Singtel lte. Even when it sometimes drop to 3G I don't disable lte.

And my friends say that you must charge 8h if not your battery life will suck but it's nonsense, really.
