iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus #Hissgate?

Just collected my replacement phone from A.Lab. Pertaining to previous queries, no i wasn't given a loan phone even when i have asked for it.

the model number indeed starts with NNxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

the replacement phone info:
Factory: C39 - China

Year: 2016

Week: 40 (03.10 - 09.10)

Age: Infant

Got any hissing on your replaced phone?

so now they have started using the refurbished/replacement batch already based on your model no.

all along they are using replacement sets instead of brand new ones isn't it.

u need to refer to model no.
usually what i know is if you change within the first few weeks, they do not have replacement/refurbished set yet and they will replace with a new set.

er...replacement sets could also be those that doesn't pass the 1st round of tests ma. so unless there are ppl here who managed to get M after 1 to 1 exchange, it seems like it will always be N for any 1 to 1?

I am waiting for it. Likely to receive it tomorrow. Will update again. Currently based off the invoice, it is M.

Just to confirm, did you initiate the exchange with Apple within 14 days or insist on a brand new set?

If so den can confirm the manufacturing process as been improved to eliminate the issue from week 40

I contacted Apple on the second day I received it. Did not demand for a brand new set specifically. CSO was very nice.

ya i ran the octane test. zero noise coming out from anywhere of the device.

recorded video and play back. no weird noises.

You have gotten a very fresh phone Week 40 should be the newest in production being sent out. Glad to hear it has no mentioned issues.

How bad is it? Any coilwhine? Coilwhine is bad. Sounds like 56K modem. "Hiss" when you place your phone apple logo directly at your ear under heavy load is not really a concern.

Overall i think those weird sound is random on the set. But how do we going to know our iphone 7/7+ is 1st batch or 2nd batch? So far i try my set taking video and playback didnt heard any sound...
