For me I just ran the test. Seems fine like no sound
Mine is iphone 7 128gb gold.
Do u mind to list down the model and Color plus memory?? I was thinking could it be Colour and model plus memory specific?

Don't think it is colour+model+memory specific. I have tried one a few same config of 7+, so far heard one with extra loud coilwhine. Generally different levels of hiss as well.
Can't say for sure for 7, only tried one. No coilwhine, almost negligible hiss.

You guys should check if your iPhone came from Foxconn or the subsidiary of Foxconn in Zhengzhou.

So far the ones I tested are all from Zhengzhou. Maybe that could be a factor.

If yours is telco set, view from sndeep(dot)info.
If Apple Online order, your tracking details for the shipment should have originated from Zhengzhou (Foxconn subsidiary location) or Shenzhen

There are a few serial number ranges.

Foxconn would be something like DNP infront:

Factory: DNP - China, Chengdu

vs

Zhengzhou has F2L infront

Factory: F2L - China, Zhengzhou - Foxconn

vs

C39 prefix ??? Not very sure which factory.

Factory: C39 - China

Manufacture week also matters I think. That can only be obtained in the serial checker.

So far I have encountered 2 F2L same week, 1 no hiss 1 hiss/coilwhine. So... really heng suay? :s13:
1 C39 no coilwhine, hiss is controlled but audible when slapped against the ear under high CPU load.

Not all plus have this issue. One of the F2L plus I tried do not have hiss nor coilwhine. Coilwhine is the most irritating and should be concerned about. Really sounds like a 56k modem.

I first noticed the coilwhine after the phone was restored, and it downloaded a huge load of apps from the previous phone. That should be sufficient enough to tell if you have the coilwhine sound.

The "hiss" is from the CPU where you can run the Google Octane test and listen to the Apple Logo. I am not too bothered about the "hiss" unless I can hear it from a distance/captured in video recording.

Yes, at that point of time, your phone will be hot too, so don't be alarmed by that!

Also, from what I noticed, even if I transferred purchases to iTunes, the iPhone still tries to download from App Store after restore.

Are you hearing white noise or hissing in your video? White noise is normal.

my hissing sound is so loud that when I place my ear to the front of the phone (i.e. re-enacting picking up a call) I still can hear the noise
