i have a frustrating problem.

when locked, at times, the touch screen suddenly become not responsive.
Observed that
a. i can tap to wake locked screen
b. i can press volume up down and power
c. can hard reset but still not responsive
d. happened almost every morning when alarm sound and at inconvenience time like someone call me.

went to plaza sing, waited for 3 hours, the staff run some remote test and said it's a SOFTWARE problem.

advise me not to restore from ITUNE backup but back/restore by ICLOUD - citing that ITUNE backup is cloning a lot of issues from old phone to new phone while ICLOUD backup is 'cleaner'.

She also advise me that if iCLOUD backup still have the same issue, try to setup as new phone and dont do any restore.

anyone has the same issue. Googled and found out that some people mentioned that it's due to changing of temperature.

Which iOS version are u using? The temperature issue was fixed.

Did anyone experience phone heating up during use? Also battery drops very fast.

Go to the Battery in Settings and see what are the apps that are consuming the most in the background or during screen time.

To view in detailed, tap on the clock icon.

But sometimes location services might be the one causing the issue.

was using my iPh X for the first day today.
left home around 715am with full charge.
uses Waze for about 2 x 45~50min drive. and some WhatsApp and also checking of emails.
till now at 1036am. battery life left slightly lower than half.

SO I guess battery life is quite okay at this moment?

i am more concern about the heat. was using awhile or using waze from home to office, i find the front or back of iPhone X was hot.

Location service wise... I mostly turn off or set to "while using app" except a few that need to be on always. mostly navigation app.

It is often the chrome which is sapping my battery. Both on screen n background.
My concern is also on the heat the phone is dissipating when I m using it.

You have to swipe down from control centre on top right to see the percentage.

Thanks buddy.
Swipe so many time just to see what’s there on the control center but never notice there is a % there.
Still prefer to simply see the % ontop so as to quickly know how much battery life left.

But due to the design of the screen, it’s now like that as got lesser space at the top.

Honestly, you shouldn't be worried about battery percentage it adds more stress to your everyday Singaporean life already. Just use your phone and gauge using the battery bar. I've never bothered about "Oh I've 37% battery left must charge soon". Well that is mostly for me.
