Replace a refurbish one for you?

the girl told me brand new leh, she say refurbished one only can purchase online. don't know how true. but today no stock, within 3 - 5 days they will contact me and can go down exchange.

tbh everything is fine on my phone except the stupid power button, i wouldn't want to exchange it if not for the issue.

but now only 2nd week, got refurbish set liao?

I don't think so fast got refurbished unit. But sometimes it is good to have as then they would have ironed out the issues.

Hate it when Face ID is activated for store purchases and have to press power button twice. Why can just simply use facial ID???

My guess is - previously with TouchID you have to still put your finger to the sensor to activate, whereas for FaceID - our face would already be there looking at the screen- very easy to mis-purchase something if you do not mean to.

In fact with FaceID, sometimes I use the phone now it is so transparent... like using a phone without security.. but yet it's there.

without the double tap, if your phone is closed to a NFC terminal + you are using it, you will make the purchase whether you want it or not

and there is really no use for the side button other than locking the phone anyways

YouTube iOS App Causing Battery Drain, Overheating Issues for Some Users

anyone encountering this?

On FB app i can watch FB Live for 2 hrs with barely any drain. Youtube app watch less than 1 hr phone hot as hell & batt low. Confirm got problems.

Only thing I noticed is my wifi connection will drop quite often. The icon is still there but my video or internet surfing will freeze there. Everything back to normal after I disable wifi and enable it back on phone.

My camera kinda grainy / noise on the live view screen. The photo taken and view it in the library is ok.

Quick update on the above issue:-

Made an appointment with Apple Genius bar, got it checked by the specialist. Ran the casual analytics diagnostic, the same one I ran over the phone with the CSO. Follow by a 10 sec viewing on the camera. Next, he told me that he will change a brand new set for me.

I was like wow, okays. That simple? lol TBH the camera wasn't that bad at all, I can't even really reproduce in the Apple store. He didn't mention what is wrong with the phone thou. Probably because of the phone still within 14 days and I have apple care+? Not sure *shrug*

He reassures me that there is no refurbish set in Apple store. You can't get a refurbished set from Apple store, you only can buy it via online and collect in store. If you bought the phone from Apple store you can get a sealed set. If it's from telco, they will open up the box and give you the phone from a sealed set. That is what he said.

Because I didn't backup my phone, so I requested to come back next time. Great service

I think it's the within 14 days that you will be given a new set but after 14 days you will get a refurbished set? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Were you looking at the phone when the phone rang? If attention detection is on, the iPhone X will deliberately soften alarms and ringtones because it knows you are looking at it anyway.

anyone face problem when listening to spotify or music... when you lock the screen... the music also go locked?

currently updated to the latest ios...

For my case, im on apple music, the moment I off the screen, the music will pause, then I need to on the display and resume the music
Previously, no issue with ios11.1, only experience it after updated to ios11.1.1
