was using my iPh X for the first day today.
left home around 715am with full charge.
uses Waze for about 2 x 45~50min drive. and some WhatsApp and also checking of emails.
till now at 1036am. battery life left slightly lower than half.

SO I guess battery life is quite okay at this moment?

i am more concern about the heat. was using awhile or using waze from home to office, i find the front or back of iPhone X was hot.

Location service wise... I mostly turn off or set to "while using app" except a few that need to be on always. mostly navigation app.

Sounds about right considering you used it for such a long navigational drive. Heat is a huge factor to battery. More heat, causes the battery to wear down faster. Try to keep it out of the sun for prolong duration, best is blow the AC on it with one of those AC car mount clips :s13:

Not on my X. But on S8, a few days old will start having such issue. Sold it within a month.

If it’s iOS keyboard, maybe reset the settings. If it’s 3rd party, then maybe that’s the problem

If s8, it’s easier. Just need to clear cache of the keyboard will do.. lol so strange, you post s8 issue in iPhone X thread?

But due to the design of the screen, it’s now like that as got lesser space at the top.

True... so far I am okay with that after 3 days of use.

Honestly, you shouldn't be worried about battery percentage it adds more stress to your everyday Singaporean life already. Just use your phone and gauge using the battery bar. I've never bothered about "Oh I've 37% battery left must charge soon". Well that is mostly for me.

:) agree. enjoy the phone.. so far after few days of use. if leave home morning at 720am with 100%. if average use, evening time back home probably will leave with 30%.. If heavier replying to WhatsApp or emailing. probably will need to change while in office.

;) worry the aircon will blow the light phone away... lolx. sometimes, i find the iPhone X "fragile" as it is much smaller as compared with iPhone 7+

i have a problem with my battery life. using my iphone x for 1 month already.my usage and standby is both the same. I have set accounts to fetch mode, disable background app refresh for some apps and only use location services while using the app, off SIRI too. but seems to be of no use.

can anyone advise?

Sound about right to me. Well you are lacking details for us to help you with like battery percentage remaining with your usage and standby values.

Usage means the duration the phone is spent processing or not in deep sleep mode. There are times even when screen is off the usage can increase.

Standby is how Long the device spends in sleep mode.

Do check which application has background usage in the battery settings by tapping the clock icon. Remember screen itself takes the bulk of the battery most of the time which is never reflected on iOS.

May I know what's a typical usage-versus-standby time ratio?
