Thanks for everyone input, i decided to go for esim for my main line today. Called m1 and there's S$37.45 activation fee. Told them to check as i've not changed any sim card before and they said can waived off this time! Next one will be chargeable.

The CS told me will take up to 2 hours to activate. But when i refresh my m1 app, the esim service was already available. Plug in my supplementary line and viola! 2 numbers in one phone. Save my money to purchase another phone just for the supplementary line and also the hassle of carrying 2 phones around! Took just less than half an hour to get everything done.

Just one question. Since i am using esim for my main line and physical sim for another. If i travel to malaysia and purchase a sim card/esim if available purely for data use, how do they know which data to use from? Don't wish to incur any additional data roaming charge!

TIA!

A quick question since no answer can be found from Google.. Is there any eSIM prepaid plan for sale in Malaysia?

After using Dual SIM for half a month, I really happy. I have a Singtel line as the personal line and a M1 eSIM as my business line.

It is really convenient. I miss a lot less business calls (previously my business line was in another phone. U know two phones... after a while.. You tend to ignore one. Ha ha).

Also it is nice once a while to switch between Singtel and M1. For data. On weekend, M1 has free data ?

The only thing i don't like, was that if you are on a line for conference call the other line is dead with no service and you don't get any sort of alert for missed calls.
