So what is the best way to get replacement battery for Roomba and Scooba?

The local distributor does not sell cheap. There is a price difference whether you buy the iRobot set from local.
Recently, I have ordered minimum 5 sets of Roomba replacement batteries for myself. Most importantly, my iRobot is back to life again. :s13: The batteries are exactly the same and identical.

If you are interested, you may reach me at irobotvac@gmail.com.

big qn, for those of u having scooba 380, does it arrived with a packaging box? Mine from US dont have that. only placed in a sterofoam and then packed in a brown shipping box

is it ok to use a 150W transformer and charge for 16hrs first time right? Do u have any empty slot in the sterofoam. I have one which i thought might be for a blower.

yes, buy from irobot online store is brown box, no pattern or glossy printed pics. :(

even buy from woot.com also usually same brown box. :(

Only when you buy from retailers like hsn.com you will get nice nice glossy box. :s22:

Yes, you can use 150w for charging. :o

Last time bought from irobot they will include a blower, when 1st use need to pump the water suction.

so your delivery ended up how many kg~? :s11:

Our company supplier from oversea helps me to purchase the parts. Hee, there is even a quality battery test report when I received the shipment. Not sure can upload here or not.
Yeah, it looks the same from outside. And don't think my supplier dare to give me sub-standard stuff as she has to deal with me always at work. Most importantly, it does work, as these cells are actually standard parts.

So nice to know so many iRobot users here!

thank you so much.. i thought there is 1 that doesnt vacuum and mopping.. means now either you get both or you need to do either 1 on your own.

scooba can do vacuum also, but not so powderful, small leaves + hair no problem. :o

i also need a roomba 4xx series battery. :(

Not appropriate to put a price here leh, otherwise kanna banned by moderator! :s22:

I am giving my share of contribution because I understand the frustration of getting replacement batteries, especially after iRobot cleaner has been serving each of us so well. Also see how some forumers help each other with irobot issues.

You may email me at irobotvac@gmail.com. In general, I can do home delivery, out of iRobot users convenience.

mosmos
thanks. no blower. i checked the accessories list also not inside.
havent use yet but i charged only 12hrs. after 4hrs or so, no more blink light but just 1 green light instead of 2. normal?

so normally is use external charger to charge right? not directly?

scooba actual is 6.5kg approx. vol 8.5kg
5 bottles clorex actual 2.7kg or so. vol 5.6+kg
ps the actual is i see from courier service written on the box. i didnt weight them myself
:s22:

i bought 2 scooba 380. should i get another roomba. will the hair jam the scooba in the long run since i read that romba also have such problem.

so if a roomba cannot even do vacuum properly, can i expect my scooba to do a good job to vacuum

Hee, probably you are right, too much detail. Anyway, local agent is definitely aware of it, I tried to ask for batteries price once, and they have huge price difference when they realise my iRobot is not purchased from them.. I think also for accessories. So frustrated that I decided and eventually source my own batteries.

Anyway, its consumer's world to look for cheaper options.

Mystrix,
Wah 2x Scooba... How I wish in near future. Roomba is good though. :s8:

after abt 3hrs, it will be fully charged. For 1st time use, need to charge abt 12-14hrs, just carry one charging, ignore the light indicators. :o

You can use external charger or plug directly, no diff. For me i prefer to use external charger while putting my scooba dismantle on wire shelves to dry. :o

So far no hair jam in scooba, just that once in a while will hair roll into front wheel. Just pull out the front wheel to remove the hair. :o

Why you buy so many 380? I don't think you need 2x external charger and 4 virtual walls. :s22:

For roomba, just wait for woot.com sale. :o

No problem, my irobot was scheduled to run during evening time when lights are OFF. So far, it returns to the docking station (with dirt of course), except when the battery could get pretty low and stop elsewhere after 1 year of usage.

i see price reasonable and not sure if a 5room needs 1 or 2 scooba. so i just buy.

ran it and still very confused on how it works.
for a 5room flat, do i expect it to run 1 cycle (45mins) to clean whole house or what?
:s11:

i placed an order of roomba 610 with irobot and its cancelled. Boohooooooo

for 5rm toclean better, you need to divide the house into half using virtual wall. :o

Just let it run until no water. then fill up water and continue on the other half. :s22:
