The maker of my first external water cooling system, EXOS-2 resting on top of my (then) Silverstone TJ03 chassis.......memories...though the cooling performance is nothing to shout about. Eventually need to strip it down after it started leaking...

If you're gonna w/c the card, don't waste your money on the Astral. Just get the TUF will do. The cards aren't binned and the 2 extra power stages on the Astral won't be significant. Most of the astral/tuf blocks are the same one for series.Also got a response from ASUS regarding aftermarket coolers and warranty.
Seems like ASUS is the only brand in SG that allows installing aftermarket waterblocks. The other option would be Gigabyte with the cards that already have a water block on them.
I know my next card will be ASUS.
25W difference will be offset by watercooling the card. Just that for the Astral I find it pointless if you're going to tear down that swanky cooler. Since there is no binning between the models, it only boils down to a mere 25W at the bios level. At some point, you'll be able to flash the Astral on your TUF like what I did on my 4090. I actually even did that to bypass the 1.07V on the newer 4090s that was locked at the bios level so that I could max out 1.1V. Of course if you have the dough for the Astral 5090, enjoy in good health!

Not sure why the estimated date went from 8 weeks to around 5 weeks so I pulled the trigger. This is one expensive watercooling project.
The Alphacool compression fittings and Koolance QDC together probably adds another $250.
So whats the verdict on flushing the loop? and fluids do I use? I was looking at the Aquacomputer Double Protect Ultra but can't seem to find in SG.
