I relooked at the suggestions. The direct line from ikebukuro to Shinjuku is actually a longer rout via Tokyo/Ginza. Its average about 35min vs the JR 5min. Its a no brainer that you should just take JR.i try c the marunouchi line.. does this line travel directly to shinjuku? i try various timing on the app.. but always tio ask to take the jr line or other line.. dun noe is bug prob or someting happen to the line on real time that deny me to use the metro.. i try shibuya or meji bor tis prob
or i gt the whole concept wrong.. the metro is travel to shinjuku sanchrome but not the shinjuku itself
pai sei ar novice is like tat ..
gt a another question.. is trains always packed like sardin in the mornjng?
all trains or just jr trains?

Ikekukuro to Shinjuku Sanchome then change to Shinjuku is the shorter route then the direct rout from Ikebukuro to Shinjuku.
Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku nearer.

hey!! i'm planning my trip to japan in 3 weeks (quite a last minute booking!) and i'm totlaly clueless about osaka! so i did some researching and surprisingly, this article was a great help!! http://www.willflyforfood.net/2017/05/07/the-first-timers-travel-guide-to-osaka-japan-2017/ it also mentioned this travel app called klook which i just had a look at! downloaded the app and scanning through now - anybody has used klook before?

Yes! i've actually bought from klook a couple of times now - mostly wifi for Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong but also some attractions like the Cartoon Network Waterpark in Pattaya, Disney land HK and Geopark in Taiwan!
Their prices are competitive in the market, sometimes the lowest! what i really like about them is that they get back to my enquiries very quickly via fb message or insta-dm!
another klook spammer?
y u asking about klook when u have used it before?

Why do you insist on going up to 5th station? Moreover it's in December. The roads are more likely to be closed.

Not faulting you but just letting you know that the chances of going up to 5th station would be very very slim.
Mt. Fuji is better to be seen from far than on it. Unless you're hiking up to the mountain during the climbing season. Visiting the five lakes around it to enjoy the beauty of Mt. Fuji would be better.
Or introduce your friends to look at illumination events instead.
