Bro evilerniex,

I will be going to hokkaido winter for 9 days 8 nights, Day 1 will reach in the noon time.

day 1 - Reach at noon time
day 2 -
day 3 -
day 4 -
day 5 -
day 6 -
day 7 -
day 8 -
day 9 - Noon fly back to sg

Snow festival is over when i go there.

I will like to cover Hakodate, or is it a must? And also an onsen stay + Asahikawa.

Can enlighten me the spread of areas to cover so i can work myself on it? Thank you.

Thank you.

U can land in hakodate airport and then work ur way up.
For onsen, u can stay in lake toya and noboribetsu.
Then either visit sapporo + otaru followed by asshikawa and fly off from asahikawa, or visit asahikawa first then back to sapporo and depart from chitose airport.

my landing and departing is from the new chitose airport wor

i was thinking of focusing sapporo, otaru, lake toya, hakodate and probably include noboribetsu.. perhaps leaving asahikawa out as time may be too rush.

is the above workable? but then im nt too too sure whether to include ski (Niseko) in the itinerary .. worth it? have u tried?

Maybe drive down from chitose to lake toya, noboribetsu and hakodate, then return car in hakodate and take train up to sapporo?

Thanks bro. Sorry to trouble u. Will like to know how much day to spend at each place will b ok.

Hi All,

Planning a trip to Tokyo/Hiroshima/Osaka/Kyoto/Nara. Rough itinerary as follows:

22-September: Arrive in Tokyo @ 10.50 via scoot. (Suggestions on how to spend the day?)
23-Sept: Shibuya, followed by sumo wrestling in the late afternoon/evening.
24-Sept: Visit Tsukiji Mkt in the morning (not tuna auction) followed by Ginza
25-Sept: Shinkansen to Hiroshima. Visit Peace memorial/surroundings and museum, okonomiyaki mura
26-Sept: Miyajima-> Shinkansen to Osaka early afternoon. check in
27-29 Sept: Day trip to Kyoto/Nara (interchangeable, 2 days Kyoto, 1 day Nara)
30 Sept: Day trip to himeji, return to Osaka. Viisit Shimbashi
1-Oct: Walk around Osaka
2-Oct: Last minute shopping. Reach KIX by 1.30pm for flight back to Singapore

Some Questions:
1) What are some places to go in Tokyo and Osaka? GF and I are more sightseeing people and foodies.

For comments, thanks in advance!

11 days for so many places is quite rush. seems like u didnt cater much time for tokyo and osaka. hiroshima part a bit rush also coz shinkansen from tokyo to hiroshima is already 4+hrs. so by the time u reach and check-in to hotel, more than half the day is gone.

u may want to refer to japan-guide on the attractions in tokyo:
https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2164.html

getting a 7-day JR pass will likely be worth it to cover the expensive shinkansen rides

Thanks for the feedback. GF has been to both cities previously. Key of going to Tokyo is to watch sumo wrestling. Looking for suggestions to fill the gaps.

Yes, will be getting JR 7 day pass. For Hiroshima and Miyajima, we are thinking of staying 1 night in Hiroshima. Probably will arrive in Osaka in late afternoon the 2nd day. First day in Hiroshima will just cover the sites listed above. Still too rushed?

hokkaido is a huge place and japan-guide isnt really doing it justice. but u can use japan-guide as a start, shortlist a few key places to visit, then focus ur search on those area using other websites.

tokyo have many attractions, maybe it will be better to discuss with ur gf since she has been before. whether to visit new places in tokyo she have not been before, or revisit places she enjoy

for hiroshima, assuming u arrive ard noon then check-in to hotel and go for lunch, i think the earliest u can start sightseeing is probably ard 2pm. u probably have enuf time for peace park, memorial museum and a-bomb dome. wun have time for other parts of the city though. then at night can go hondori shopping street and okonomiyaka village for dinner

Hi guys,

so having done some research the GF and I are going to attempt to do Hakone (the loop - ropeway, ship, shrine and then back) and then Gotemba premium outlet. Due to the many types of trips we're intending to get the Hakone free pass; haven't decided if we'll go by regular train or top up for the romance car.

We also intend to, on another day, do the kawaguchiko pink moss festival.

Assuming that we decided to do the regular train route, would anyone be able to suggest if getting a train pass would be more worthwhile?

Thank you!
