Understand ICC supplied SIM cards are usually no issues. But I see for Japan some people complain about no connection in Osaka and Kyoto

any other sim to recommend? Will be in Tokyo Osaka and Kyoto for 11 days
hope the ICC issues are isolated

Sounds good. Mind sharing which plan u bought?

Ubigi 10GB plan for japan is USD17. With USD17 you could get bigger data plan in Shopee. But in term of reliability and such, i will pay to use Ubigi.

Anyone knows why when I use Ubigi I cannot seem to get local SMS via my Primary?
I only switch on Secondary (Ubigi) and data from secondary. Theoretically I should still get phone calls/sms coming in my primary?

Seems like Ubigi has quite good feedback based on the comments here. Am thinking of getting Ubigi and ICC to diversify the risk. I see ICC reviews all mostly good but there are a small number of reviews mention about poor connectivity or no network after a few days

Am using iPhone 14 pro.
Otherwise no big issues with Ubigi.

I tested it out in JB to see experience before buying for upcoming Japan trip this month. But if cannot get SMS would be a bummer….

SMS? isn’t Ubigi data only? oh wait you talking about your pri line. it’s more likely an issue with your pri line..

not sure if I’m looking at the right prices but isn’t ICC much more expensive than Ubigi/Airalo?

Ubigi is about 5 bucks more ex than ICC. At least from what I need. Approx 10gb for 12-15days. 4g is sufficient for me but Ubigi does offer 5g

Ubigi worked for me, similar phone model to yours. Managed to receive SMS for uber app re-registration in September.

My primary remained Myrepublic mobile using starhub (5g esim)

Could be you blocked roaming either on phone or at the carrier app so nothing going through?

Perhaps you are right. I did not turn on roaming on my Singtel roaming so maybe it’s this. Will on it to see if it works next time

Thanks
