The entire stretch of units from the coffee shop to the electrical appliance shop has been wiped out.
The clinic is the last unit standing.

The good, old kampung spirit is back here.

There is a canteen on the third floor of the industrial estate.
I heard rumours that there are vietnamese or china callgirls touting at the carpark entrance of blk 19 so i tried to see for myself. Turns out true they are there at late hours of the night to tout homecoming businessmen but not much nowadays. Could probably be tipped off to the police

The two big units #01-01 and #01-02 remain empty with no notices.
Looks like nothing is coming, not even Sheng Siong.

I stay at the blocks opposite tenteram peak, blk 16-19. It’s much quieter than tenteram peak in terms of highway noise. It’s quite peaceful here.

This area is not near MRT but a lot of buses to everywhere so I seldom take MRT. Toa Payoh MRT is 3 stops away from the bus stop beside PIE. That bus stop is 5 mins walk from my block with a sheltered walkway. At least 4-5 buses going to TPY from there.

In front our blocks there is also a bus stop with buses going go Novena and TPY (longer routes). And at jalan bahagia there are more buses too.

Also if you have young children going to primary school, this place is within 1 km to Hong Wen (just opposite the expressway), St Andrew and Bendemeer primary. Within 2 km of St Joseph.

We don’t drive so in the weekends we usually take a cab with our toddler, and the taxi/grab fare everywhere in the city is much much cheaper than when I stayed in the west.

It might be noisy if you are staying facing the highway at tenteram peak though, similar situation the condos opposite PIE.

Btw, Anyone knows whether sheng shiong is really coming though? Tenteram peak was so bustling when Giant was there since there is no supermarket to serve the condos and landed housings opposite CTE.

It seems like Sheng Siong is really not coming until further notice.
Consequently, the nearby Hao mart will thrive until further notice.
The family clinic is the only business in Tenteram Peak now.

Only thing is the attitude of staff working there. If bad I rather shop at JB or finest

The lady PRC staff at HAO across the road was quite friendly I was told.

Prices, comfort and layout is important.

I thought shutting all the windows and turn on aircon should help?

Not sure how about the BTO Tenteram peak? Also got noise pollution?

Super noisy.

My friend stayed at Beacon Height level 25. I went there at night and the noise is unbearable even with balcony and windows shut.

not sure about the BTO tenteram peak, but if you're directly facing the highway <200m away, it's really horrible esp for PIE CTE. I've been to similar developments and will agree with him.

Plus i have a theory not sure how true, the higher it is, the worst it is. If you're a light sleeper, i'll stay far far far away from highway facing apartments.

Beacon Height is just across the CTE (opp) BTO Tenteram.

I went to Tenteram's Giant last year (just cross the underpass). The multi storey carpark is just beside CTE. Super noisy. But I guess, those staying there will eventually get used to the noise.
