How far it takes to start flooding your shoes

In humid time, 13km ownwards, the shoes will start t have squishing sound.
These couple of days, although the temperature is extremely high but the humidity not too bad. I actually felt quite ok for the 15.8km run which I started around 7:30am last night. Shoes and sock are dry. I believe I might have sweated more than usual, but the evaporation of the sweat was fast too. And with my UTO single which stuck to my body, the cooling effect from the evaporation can be felt. so the run wasn't too bad when compare to a humid day.

To me, I don't train until that level to need fast recovery. Many pro train very hard til muscle really sore and tight, but being a pro, next day is a working day for them, I e training some more. So they need fast recovery not just from rest and sleep. That's why got alot of pseudo science and proper science in the field of recovery. massage is one of them. I don't need it. If I want shiok, I have my massage gun.
But if you have muscle tightness that you can't get rid of even after resting or foam rolling, can give massage a try.

1st run with the Adidas Takumi Sen 9 for my TAO's 6 min Assesment.
Very firm ride. It's not squishy like other high stack super shoes. The rebounce only comes alive after sub 5 minutes. 6 mins -7min pace, no rebound, just a normal ride. Yet to try 5 -6 minute for any rebound. The Vaporfly will have rebound even at 5:30 pace.

I find the ride is very similar to the Qiaodan 强风SE. If only I don't have the toe issue with the Qiaodan 强风SE, it will be a keeper.

Wow respect

Wah this fella 700m from finishing the run leg (ie full marathon) collapsed from heat exhaustion and needed to be hospitalised. 3.50 pace, 30 deg heat. HR 170s.

That time i remember running at around 7pm+ last june trying to 10K TT, also felt unwell at 7km. low 4 min pace. No active (water) cooling. So i guess i was being smart/safe about it.

Dong F around with the heat while gunning. So i think cannot anyhow push into 3-3.30 pace nowadays for the runs liao other than the strides/SIT
Think for the time being if wanna cheong (need for speed :ROFLMAO: ) just do on bike.

My ex-colleague same, collapsed during his triathlon. 2 weeks in hospital, few days ICU

OTH 5th floor running track is a certified track, so 2.4km is legit time trial. But this year they will charge $10. Used to be free, so I will not be joining.

Recovery

1. Active stretching
2. Foam roller
3. Strength work
4. Eating proper diet > less processed
5. Hydration > drink throughout the day
6. Sleep
7. Easy days > don't run too hard

Wow 13km doesn’t seems your final goal. That means you’ll need to carry a water bottle to refuel your fluid level

Don't usually carry water for my runs. If really need to, then fountain or 7-11. But LSD , yes will carry them. 300ml or up to max 800ml, coz I have 500ml and a 300ml soft flask.
