I bought Plaid size 44.5(290) earlier and have some pain at the big toe like Ender.

But below 10k is manageable. Should be a sizing issue.

Enjoy your new shoes when arrived! 👍

Interesting. I find my PLAID 1.0 original ver toebox to be rather volumous.

Could be the length. Maybe 1/2 size too long for me.

I found my foot sliding forward abit, resulting in big toe hitting the upper.

Width wise is good for my wider foot.

I suspect this is one guy from the Qiaodan runners FB group who keep trying to sell Qiaodan shoes . I don't think he officially represent Qiaodan in Singapore. But from his posting, I think his shoes are legit coz he is a runner and runs exclusively with Qiaodan shoes.

went for a run, did normal running for athe first 20mins then walked to lower heart rate for zone 2.

but its hard to maintain at that 140-147 heart rate subsequently, even though its the 10-11min pace. once get into groove then heart rate exceed and continue to climb. plus i did not change the pace drastically

anyone similar?

yah it happens to me last weekend. at the moment i am not sure why it is happening, but i suspect i had over stress myself with past few weeks of high mileage runs. resuming my run tomorrow morning and see if there is any improvements.

Yeah it's due to the heat. Just google cardiac drift.

Come to think of it, i have no Nike shoes. heh

I had 2 pairs.

The first one which was donkey years ago, the sole tear off after a while.

The 2nd recent pair of Air Max, the sole on the heel open out.

I had no issues with my other shoes which can always last me till the linings on the sole almost flat.

The split between the midsole where the plates are and also the upper, I do have my own theory for super shoes like Alphafly and Vaporfly. Base on my experience with gluing back outsole of my old shoes.
To have a good bond for the contact cement and the midsole, outsole I will treat the surfaces with solvent. This will enhance the 'wetting' effect of the glue. But the 'bounce' and softness effect of surface will degrade. And fresh glue itself has solvent in itself be more 'wet'.

For high performance shoes, my theory is Nike has 40mm max of zoomX to meet IAAF approval. Using as little glue as possible to maximize the usage the full 40mm zoomX return energy. Machiam like squeezing the last drop of performance over durability of the bonding.

I am talking nonsense here, just my unsupported thoughts.

Actually does the contact glue (the yellow type) work?

I tried before with my past shoes, but not running shoes........it works for a few months, then it becomes undone again. Damn sian.

Not an expert in DIYing this just a normal or at most above average typical DIYer trying to figure/fix things, just only know to wait 5-10 mins for the yellow adhesive to dry a bit before putting pressure.

Contact glue works for me. More success for outsole. Upper to midsole, has very low success.

For my, the glue I use has to be wet. As wet when it is like the brand new tube. Over time, the glue will harden in your tube or container, so need to have alot solvent of thinner to make them wet again. Wet glue easier to spread and bond surface. Separately from directly mixing solvent into harden glue, putting solvent on the midsole/outsole surface, not only will help wet the glue further, but I also think it will soften the midsole rubber, to be readily to bond with glue. I also think this is where a thin layer of midsole rubber will degrade in their quality of softness and bounce, but unnoticeable for us.

The other important part is applying pressure for a period. Before gluing, you have to have a plan on how to clamp it. I have cloth peg, plastic F-clamps, and rubber bands. I have seen other people use cable tie.

Then just following the instruction on the label. Clean surface, wet with solvent on harden glue, and surface. Spread them on both sides. LEave them expose for around 20 to 30 mins. Press together with force, and clamp them. I usually leave the clamp on til the next day.

Actually, what you can do is reduce your pace and I noticed one very important thing is the breathing technique and also must learned to relax.

I forgot to mention, there's a scenario where the contact cement glue won't work well. It's when the midsole 'rot'.
Basically over long time, the EVA midsole, just disintegrate slowly into powder bit by bit. You can tell by feeling the where the shoe opened or split for some sandy white particles. This type, after glue, a few weeks later the EVA midsole will 'rot' further and the shoe will open again.

When I overtrain or dehydrated can be like that also.

once you start hard, it harder to bring it down. For my zone 2 runs, i will start slow and just maintain. I can maintain the zone 2 heart rate with minimal walking for 45-60 min

Just now slipped and fell, luckily no biggie, just a small bit of lasceration, shd not have scar

Fugged type Saucony Pro 3 XT900 outsole.

When ground is even a bit wet, need to wear Pumagrip already.

Lesson learnt, dont be super siao on and run during light rain esp if you are training to hit a race goal. Just totally not worth to take the risk. Last year due to such injury type it made me out of action for 3 whole weeks. Even the 4th week i was taking it really easy.
