Wah, raced with Tanaka
His 10 x 1km @ 3.00 - 3.01 min/k workout (60s jog recovery @ 200m) seems to be slightly faster than his race time of 3.03 min/k. But it still gives a good estimation.
Would be good for me to try this workout maybe with slightly more rest (slower jog for 200m) and see how I perform.
For workout intervals, my idea is that say for 10k 10 x 1k if can go for the whole works 10 sets and it feels good by the 6th - 8th set then go for it....if not just 6-9 sets also can, see how it feels, gotta run at goal pace or a wee bit faster for good stimulus. I always dig the word "good stimulus" coz of what i do in other areas like strength building/beginner calisthenics/cycling. For SIT, i do that as well, so it varies sometimes 3 sets only sometimes i can go hoot 5.
But really must have sufficient recovery and nutrition/supplements if necessary and strength/plyo etc. I hate injuries.
Goal will be reached eventually, no need for off season if it does not burn you mentally. Actually i havent really had any off season since beginning of 2023 since i really started training, maybe a 2-3 months injury period post Aug 2023 that's when i picked up cycling for cross training lol.....

Was watching this, should be the college version?
First district: 21.3km - 1.01.07 >> 21.1km - 1.00.30 projected. That guy lead from the start to the end and even open a big gap. No one to pace with.
I went to check the Japan national record, he is 30s off.
Second district: 23.1km - 1.08.29 >> 21.1km - 1.02.12 projected. Also, ran on his own.
Third district: 21.4km - 1.01.54 >> 21.1km - 1.00.58 projected.
Fourth district: 20.9km - 1.02.03 >> 21.1km - 1.02.40 projected.
Fifth district: 20.8km - Lost the lead and finished 1:49 behind, despite having a lead of 45s. >> This guy 10km PB time is 30s slower than the eventual winner. >> The gap should be a lot smaller. My guess is that this runner struggled under pressure to anchor his team.
Classic symptoms.. Wake up in the morning, and standing after a long sitting duration. Never had it, so I have very little research into it. Hope someone who gone thru can provide guidance.hey guys, i experience soreness on my arch when i wake up first thing in the morning or when i stand on my feet after prolong periods of sitting. is that a sign of Plantar Fasciitis?
actually it has been going on for weeks and i could still continue with my normal training.Classic symptoms.. Wake up in the morning, and standing after a long sitting duration. Never had it, so I have very little research into it. Hope someone who gone thru can provide guidance.
Intriguingly, 100 percent saw improvement after a laxative-aided defecation.
