270W for Ben
4.285w/kg
He can easily pull for quite a while in a smash ride.
Pretty good translation of his running to cycling. (he does not train for cycling in any means)

After running my prime X2 for a HM last week. The shoe is so firm and stiff that I believe I have suffered gluteus medium injury . This is the 2nd time I suffered it after I switch shoe.

Today switched back to superblast but too late already . Pain is unbearable after 10km..I have to stop after 13 km. Actually planned to run 30 km wan!!

Sian. I remb last time I took 2 weeks rest break completely to let it recover .
😢

such things is all about luck. me whacked a HM in my brand new bmai jingtan3.0turbo and had no issue
I am a very light runner. Only weight 54-55 kg for a male.
Because the shoe prime X2 is still very stiff and firm. It need more time to run in.

Is bmai jingtan3.0 turbo is very firm shoe?

U r absolutely right.
I blamed myself for to hao lian already .. shouldn't wear newly bought shoe and whacked a 21km after just wear once only for a 6km run before that.
That's how I got my IT band problem last time.

Wore new stability shoes when I really need neutral. That time still unfamiliar with these things.

Saw the Brooks Ravenna shoe for $70 just hoot.

First run try 5k okay.

Next ran 10k. Abit of niggle, thought small problem.

3rd run hao lian go for 21k.

From 12k felt slight pain but ignore. 16k more pain but mind still think no pain no gain.

End up slow to a crawl. Gave up at 20k. Can feel the entire stretch of IT band at the sides, knee inflamed.

Took many months of rest, stretching and strengthening to recover.

Hope you recover soon.

I believed When we first started to run . We also dunno anything much about shoe and didn't know any friends that were very experienced runner.

I also bought a gel kayano when I first started and I always feel weird and not right. Ended up I always run with a NB zero drop minimus serie shoe that help me to correct my foot landing from heel to mid foot/ fore landing. I was wondering kayano is more expensive and better but how come I always run faster with a cheaper NB shoe that cost half price of kayano

It shown that running with the Wrong type of shoe really could contribute to injury even if the size and fitting are comfortable.

its not very firm, squishy bouncy with a tad of firmness. very light and natural in feel. feels most natural to run in all my shoes.
prime X2 has 2 layer of carbon plate and thick midsole. the firmness and stiffness probably come from the dual layer carbon plate.
and your weight doesn't help as well probably. Personally i feel the shoe doesn't fit you well based on your profile.
Then again me no expert, maybe after breaking in from more runs, it will feel better.

I subsribed to this philosophy, and I believe Jakob Ingebrigtsen too. Trust in the process. If you have done a proper training plan that include cumulative fatiguing, the best form and fitness is always right at the race day where proper tapering will ensure the super compensation from those cumulative fatigue.

I read most reviews mentioned light runner might find the shoe too heavy .

Since I already paid for this shoe . I was like to remind myself I have to make it work for me.

My old adios pro 3 also feel firm initially and took about 80km to break in.

BTW is really glute medius and not in combination with TFR right? Might be overcompensated by TFR, and lagi glute medius also pain coz at the same time not strong. (ie more towards upper backside's side at the hip than at the front/side at the hip)

But i remember you saying you do quite a fair bit of strengthening at the track, something like you dont often see others really doing this.

Actually just curious at the moment, how many of this raises can do you? Just grab a chair and do without resistance.

Srsly i not pro or PT or what.... i just hoot both part of the regimen. :ROFLMAO:

I guess another possible way of telling is, which exercise more pain, or both also pain.

Acclimitization.. Can work one. Nike Vaporfly 2 and QD强风3TR, both gave me issue in the beginning. Regress them to lower mileages training and slowly rotate them in for higher mileages as I progress. Ran the VP2 for full marathon, and QD can do long run liao.

A lot of injury solution for me is to just keep on running. But regress on the pace and mileage with more consistency. What I mean for consistency is if can run every day, it's better to run slower and a lot lesser mileage every day say 3km or less every day at zone 1 or lower zone2 and this is better than every 3 days run 8km with upper zone 2 or zone 3 pace. Specificity in training is to me the most effective for progression and injury recovery.
