That's why got pants over tights type to hide the bulge.
I also have two pairs from Decathlon. I only used them during the short period I had pain in my quads. The compression does mitigate the pain during the run, so I can still meet my mileage. Once it was healed, I went back to normal loose pants.
its already covered up, isn't it? to each his own.
Hehe.....for me i think the "issue" is more on the general public perception. Esp for cyclists, coz they go for cafe /social rides so they do venture into shopping malls and cafes, ie more exposure to the general public.
So yeah......esp since some of the general public don't really like cyclists so the comments from them not so good. My kid and I were at Mcdonald's and a somewhat large group of roadies came into get drinks/soft serve and some public members were laughing away.
But if talking about exercising/training at the grounds, nobody of coz would laugh lah.
For runners of coz easier to "hide", just get those shorts over tights. TB a lot sia.
But i guess for professional runners who are doing faster paces would not want this extra flapping around of the apparel due to aerodynamic loss, it's a pretty small loss but i guess still it is a loss which is gonna be noticeable at higher speeds for the pros (inverse square law).
For cyclists, not so much.....actually nothing with additional cover in the market from what i have come across, only can wear running shorts over tights and forgo the padding.
Actually i do have saddle covers with extra padding, just that these look amateurish.
Also for cycling, what they say is that cannot have too much padding coz of what additional compression of the tissue around the sit bones or what lah. For me i also dont over-read into this coz i dont really do longer distances nowadays, and even then if reach 50-60+ distances these are more like broken up into 3-4 breaks be it toilet + water refills or 7-11/NTUC visits.
