Sometimes need to have a bit of discipline and pick the right timing for long distanceSingapore tough to train for long distance because of the heat and humidity, not that easy to find motivation to clock the mileage.
Those brief times I got to jog in cold overseas damn shiok and much easier to run faster and further during training.
Looks like local scene still going strong......2024 still got show.

I have been training running under the sun for the past 2 months. Signed up for Lazada run and planning to run Bangkok later this year. Probably would be hot and humid for both so trying to condition my body to be able to function under those conditions.Sometimes need to have a bit of discipline and pick the right timing for long distance
Currently I use Garmin DSW with Race Widget to train for marathons, I put all my long runs on the weekends, sleep earlier on Friday and wake up earlier on Saturday to get the runs done in the morning before the sun hits.
Once the sun hits the nerf is intense. I can see 30s/km shaved off my normal easy pace cause my heart rate just shoots straight up for that pace.
Haha headfi is just last month and I spent money on IEMs
But on running, spent a lot of money on shoes also
400 miles liao replace shoe, sometimes less than 6 months I hit that mileage and retire the shoe already![]()
your slow is how slowI went for a super slow jog covering only 5km...
Too stress n depressed.
Bro zone 2?your slow is how slow
Haha sometimes I see steep discounts on Puma shoes so I biteCo

Shoe as long you don't buy the latest and greatest not that ex. Asics past season shoes can get below $100..
Headfi still ok, hifi is the one that can really suck money. Thankfully I am contented with my setups liao.

Deviate Nitro 2 for 79 was a no brainer instant buy
Puma outlets sometimes will slash prices aggressively for outgoing colourways very quickly, can also try look for it in JB running shoe stores alsoCan I know where do u usually hunt for the Puma discounts? Been wanting to try on the Nitro series but have never seen any local discounts. Indeed $79 for Deviate Nitro 2 is a no brainer.
Can check out the outlet at West Coast Plaza if convenient.Puma outlets sometimes will slash prices aggressively for outgoing colourways very quickly, can also try look for it in JB running shoe stores also
I think rn the Velocity Nitro 3 is under 100 for a number of colorways, not bad
Take it easy. Don’t forget to do your squats to strengthen the knees.Bro zone 2?
Indeed very slow
I scare knee gv way.
I am old uncle liao.
Tgks, maybe after jog, do 10 sets of squats..Take it easy. Don’t forget to do your squats to strengthen the knees.

Thinking of choosing magmax over superblast 2 for my long runs. How is the magmax doing for you?Got one time I saw the MagMax slash to 150+, I wanted to buy but then I see the current mileage of my current MagMax and held back![]()
Bought mine in January 2025 (when Puma SG finally brought it in after my persistent questioning), clocked about 200km (about 1/3 life gone).Thinking of choosing magmax over superblast 2 for my long runs. How is the magmax doing for you?
