Hi guys, this coming weekend I'll be driving to KSL. Would just like to check if its hard to navigate from Checkpoint to KSL? Looking at Google maps seems alright, but over there, can't get any Data connection. Kinda worried will holland lols. First time travelling around JB. Last time is straight go highway go KL/Malacca..

I went to ksl two days ago, went there via causeway link bus at jb sentral, the S1 bus, fare is 1.50rm per pax.

Anyone knows if shops at KSL will be closed on Hari Raya?

Is it expected to be crowded since I assume many malays would be celebrating and not be shopping??

Have reserved a night stay in ksl for check in on 20 Aug (Mon)..it is the next day after hari raya and a public holiday... wonder if the causeway would be jam...

Wonder why incoming traffic to Sin is so heavy now at 4pm.and outgoing to Jb is smooth. I am going in to Jb tomorrow morning, wonder how traffic would be like.

Wonder why incoming traffic to Sin is so heavy now at 4pm.and outgoing to Jb is smooth. I am going in to Jb tomorrow morning, wonder how traffic would be like.

I think is due to the heavy vehicles from Malaysia going out. All vehicles going into Singapore and heavy vehicles going out of Singapore have to take turn.

We have encountered twice at around that time also. We were asked to stop around 15mins for them to go out.

take a cab there. but don't take blue cabby! they will freaking cut throat! take the usual red color and becareful. try to speak in malay,it works.!!! lol

Take S1 bus from bus interchange below customs...1.50rm if i'm not wrong.

Causeway Link service S1 at JB Sentral which is across the bridge from the CIQ. It's actually between CIQ and City Square, just go down the escalator to the street level.

Next to S1's bus bay, there's another company's bus that goes to KSL too. It normally displays a sign with KSL on it.

Both should be the same fare - RM1.50 per person.

I didn't know how and what bus to take from City Square to KSL or Sentosa.
Basically I don't like the crowd hanging around the bridge to cross the road to the bus stand.
They look suspicious and from what we read in the news about JB. Itis better to avoid such characters.

lol.. i get what you mean.. i meant basically in JB you have to be all time RED ALERT of your surroundings..anything could happen!!=D but anyways just be alert la things will be fine if we're super careful. JUST IGNORE them IGNORE everything they say.=)

This bridge is much better than the other one that goes over Jalan Wong Ah Fook, on the other side of City Square.

What I normally do once I leave CIQ, is just to walk all the way to my intended destination without stopping unnecessarily. If stopped by anyone, just be alert and prepared to say "no thanks" and walk off.
