G4 totally no trade-in value liao...I sold it for barely 1/3 the price of what I paid, less than 9mths after I bought it.

LG phones depreciate super fast, its a known trend. Im sure even the G5 now is cheaper than what it was in mid-April when released.

Once i also considered selling my G4 eventually but decided might as well just keep it as a spare

I would love to continue using it, if not for the bootloop the first time and signs of bootloop after replacement.

Under estimated the depreciation.
Sony z3 release is at least 6 months earlier? And it's not like Sony is very popular either...haiii

Indeed.. Just keep on using G4 until it dies or due for contract renewal. I thought of selling it away too, but gave up the idea since it will be hard to get rid of a phone with bootloop issue. Passing on this phone to another buyer is also unethical.. Hehe..

If I post it on Carousell, there will be many oppounistic low-baller..I might as well keep it as a reminder to myself about LG bootloop saga. Would you buy a G6 next time? Haha..

Wah piang.. just realised my wife's Sony z3 has a higher trade in value than my g4!!!

Ahbeng shop all dun wan the G4 as well.

I asked so many, they all just shake head say not taking.
Those that willing to take, the value lower than ASUS ZENFONE 2 :s22:

End up offload to telco...lucky contract 1 year up can sign new phone.

Screw lg :s13:

was thinking of offloading the G4 for oneplus 3 :s13::s22:

anywaes, i collected my phone. motherboard 606 series. i asked the CSO what happens if the board fails again, since this is the 2nd time (and some people online reported that it failed even after the 3rd board change). she just say bring it in, replace on case-by-case basis.

my parting words to her were "wa. than i'm holding a time-bomb in my hands lo!"

was kind of feeling this too, but the oneplus 3 lacks SD card slot which I need, and im pretty sure it still doesnt have proper customer service infrastructure in singapore so even with warranty, getting and service done would be a hassle

i just want my G4 to last at least till Jun 2017 so I at least feel like Im getting money's worth.

Would you buy a G6 next time? Haha..

i cant make a decision on a phone that doesnt exist yet, whose specs i dont know yet

Bootloop 29/5/2016, and because I just moved overseas had to send it back to SG via courier and get someone to send it back to me after that (no international warranty :(). Main board changed from 508 - 605.

My G4 died today. 505 series mobo. Still 1 month warranty left.

The alexandra road service center closes at 6pm and is quite far from my home and work location. Is there any other lg service center.

Tough luck, you may go down on Sat morning, just bring your receipt down. You just have to hand in your G4, and say "same issue" with :vijayadmin: face and they will know what happened.

ya I seriously considering also... but the only thing truly stopping me is the amazing camera of the G4. manual controls are da bomb. unless there's another phone with such a good camera and dual sim (s7 comes close but... I'm just prejudiced against samsung :s13::s22:)

The G4 had amazing manual mode, for 2015. In 2016 a lot of competitors have caught up and most flagships also support full manual (except Sony, stay the hell away from that one)

Think for Oneplus 3, the reviews Ive seen so far are pretty good for the photo stills and mediocre for video (similar story to huawei P9 essentially). However with the OP3 having smaller sensor + aperture compared to the G4, its low light performance may not be superior.
