Reminder to redeem free 100GB Google Drive

If you have not already redeemed the LG Promo 100GB free google drive, or am unable to find the page to redeem like me because you didn't setup as a new phone, follow these steps to do so:

1. Ensure app is updated in Play Store, enter and login to your gmail account.
2. Click on the menu button and scroll down to "Help & Feedback"
3. Again click on the 3 dots menu up in the top right corner, select product tour at the very bottom.
4. Run through it and the page to redeem the 100GB for 2 years should appear.

How do I a) find the coupon code and b) apply it?

When I look at the LG g6 page it shows a green flashing bar indicating there is a coupon to be applied but when I click on it just reloads the page essentially.

Wait till the coupons are released. Now only got $10 and $4 coupons. There will be a link/banner from the home page usually. The app also will display the link on left nav bar.

Mine is still pristine, no scratches, so can't really comment. But based on jerryrigeverything, it should still function normally even if it's scratched badly.

So I got my LG G6 today. Haven't had much time to mess about with it but I did notice that it comes with a USB C to A cable. I was kinda expecting it to be USB c to c.

I've tried connecting my old Nexus 6p USB c to c cable and it did charge but presumably it'll charge slower?

I guess I had assumed that USB c is quicker to USB c to c would be quicker than c to a.

Depends on the charger that you use. If the USB C to USB C is connected to USB C PD charger, then it will charge at USB C PD speed. I usually charge it this way at home. I don't use the stock charger/cable.

They included USB C to A to support QC3.0.

With the bundled QC3 adapter, the phone will charge at a maximum 9V at 1.8A (16.2W).

USB-PD charger => topping up the G6’s charge at around 8.8V at 1.8A

Wrong assumption.

The cable connector itself doesnt influence the charging.

Yes there are exceptions to this, but those exceptions put extra pins on the USB plug (eg. oppo's VOOC and oneplus dash charge) which is pretty much already making it a different design that happens to look like the same connector (like mini-DP and thunderbolt 2). LG doesnt use any proprietary charging standard.

You'd more likely see a charging speed difference caused by cable thickness (i.e. the size of the copper 5 volt wires within) or the cable length

Am I the only one who noticed that wifi scanning under location settings sometimes just enable by itself even though I disable it?

I realised when I am using grab and it'll keep prompting this out.

I'd really like to enable Glove Mode if there is one. Anyone had luck in this beside rooting the device.
