Light bleed is common in LED / LCD TVs. Don't want that? Switch to a plasma.

Hi,

how do you solve this isssue.

mine is better than yours, only very minimal light at the top corner. not sure if this is normal..i read some review saying that All led tv at the moment got bleed. All brands encounter this due to edge bleeding.
On my LM6700 there's a wizard that guides you through adjusting brightness etc.

LG LM6700 Series Calibrations and Picture Settings

Not sure if the above will be of help to you guys. :)

Me again the newly bought lm6450 55'inch. Wife aggroed, because now local channels looks abit blur, like watching pirated CD @$&"...
My tv is connected to starhub box via hdmi. I had tried to set the tv display 4:3, but no improvement. Am I correct to diagnose that video source is not in HD, thus when trying to play it in big screen, the blurrinest becomes more obvious? My precious 42 inch when showing local channels via starhub , quality wise still very much acceptable .
So ... Need advise..... Any settings or tweaks I can do to improve the quality of the local channel when playing on a big 55 inch panel?
Thx in advance :)

Still acceptable. Only noticeable when watch in dark which I rarely do.
Like what the rest of the bros said, it's inevitable on led edge lit backlight system.
I noticed if I press on the edge(cuz not hard glass on bezel, like a suspended glass), there is minimal leakage. Dunno if it due to assembly quality issue.
Will call lg when free.

Dunno how to adjust the ghosting effect. Tried changing "trumotion" settings, not much diff leh.

Is your starhub box configured to output 1080i? Try pressing info button on the lg remote, does it say 1080i?

Also, make sure to set ur TV to "Just Scan".

that seems to be the case. what device do you intend to connect the audio to? I connect it to a pioneer AV receiver and I get 5.1 digital audio on some of the HD channels, some are stereo. the digital audio output is well sync with the TV speaker so you don't need to mute the speaker.

If I connect the starhub digital audio output the AV receiver, it is not (lip) sync.

Hope this help!

There's a spider on my LG LCD TV

The LG technician was adamant that it was due to physical contact. Wasn't given the benefit of the doubt. Tsk.

Owners of LM6700 and perhaps other models too, better be extra careful with the front element (glass?) of the TV. When I hit it with the PS3 controller earlier, I'd reckon even the technician was surprised that it didn't take much force to "crack" the insides of the TV.

i think i saw some light exposure on my top right hand side of my LM6410 also. :(

And i can't seem to find the control for 3D depthness as well, can anyone tell me where is it?

The most i can do is only convert 2D to 3D and its not even entirely converted, meaning i take off the 3D glass i can view it clearly too with my naked eyes!

And the FTA channels is really lousy in pic quality. sighz... :(

anyone pro can help?
