Followed up with the technician. Was told the panel replacement will be at S$963 inclusive of GST.
I don't really mind paying that up if he even bothered to check the TV.I told him this earlier and he said "no need to open the TV. not necessary. confirmed due to user error". I quizzed him about the other similar cases and he wouldn't comment at all. Told that "yesterday, you were 100% sure that the LCD won't crack on its own. And now you're not gonna comment?", he just said "I will never be wrong".
Really pissed. Worst case is that I'll probably pay up still and just sell the damned thing.
LG = Never again.
actually there's nothing much to see inside... I have mine changed the motherboard which you can see I posted 2 or 3 pages back that my tv cannot turn on at all.
The TV is so simple that it can sell from $2500+ down to $1600+ within 6 months.
Basically it is just a panel with 1 motherboard and 1 powerboard, only 3 items in a TV
But that's not only for LG, others also the same in order to make it slimline.
Anyway, after motherboard replaced, problem is still not solved as the replacement stocks for motherboard is a wrong region type which there's no Premium apps like Kpop/ Youtube/ Facebook etc. So have to tentatively watch it till next correct region stock arrive.
