Other than the part where the motherboard chipset and the processor, storage, network card are masked by the virtualization, the graphic card isn’t because you will still need to install the necessary drivers since the GPU is passthru as-is to the Mac guest OS.

You will also either require 2 monitors or using a HDMI displays switcher. They have also put some disclaimer like a couple of minor things not working properly.

At the end of the day, you have to ask yourself “Why are you getting a Mac and why are you using a Mac?”

I was trying it out and managed to get MacOS installed. But when I installed Clover, MacOS immediately shut down after. Will need to investigate why.

Anyone encountered a macbook pro with service battery warning cropping up with low battery cycle count of 100?

Have helped done battery calibration, reset smc. The only way it goes away is after a fresh install of mac mojave. It then may appear after some unknown period of time.

battery might require servicing, or that the cable needed to re-sit. macbook battery error is covered under warranty.

No special care required. LiPo battery cycles are not how many times you charge, but how many cycles you charge. If you used 50% and charge twice, it's the same as one full use and charge. The BMS will control the undervolt and over volt situation which is paramount to the health and safety of LiPo.

All those periodically discharging your battery and full charge is not going to regain any of your battery capability. They are consumables and hence will deteriorate over time. What this action does is merely calibrating the BMS to better manage the battery and show you a more accurate voltage depletion across time. Even if you don't use your battery, it will still deteriorate on its own.

You will find a lot more information in RC articles because LiPo is greatly discussed in these sites where charging and discharging of LiPo are far more frequent when users are playing with the RC than you will find with laptops.

yeah, I had that happen to my MBP. I had this unit for 2 years though and I saw it appear last month. Officially, MBP can hold up to 300 cycle count but it can hold up to 900 though so it's best tocheck the current cycle count first.

You can try resetting the SMC and hopefully it should fix the issue. It did fix mine.
