i've narrowed down a list to what i might be looking for. i'm using a a7rii camera and the RAW files are normally around 40+MB each. i typically export about 50-100 images on my windows desktop but i won't be doing that much on the MBP. just adjusting the RAW files, applying presets and exporting them as JPEG at about less than 10MB. i'm a hobbist taking photos so nothing professional that sort. would i need the 16GB RAM if i were to open lightroom doing all that plus a couple of tabs open on the browser while music is playing on itunes?

again, Lightroom is not the primary feature of this MBP as this is more for school and everyday task away from home with portability in mind.

i checked last year's and it was around July so yeah in about a month.

i've already bought a 13" quad core i5 16GB 256SSD TB model yesterday and it's arriving on Monday. pretty excited for my first Mac or in this case, first laptop ever.

Good :) Use with an open mind and open heart. You will discover new ways to doing the same thing differently from Windows :)

My MacBook Pro from 2010 is still working well.

My 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina display still working well too

Bought a fully spec’d out refurbished MacBook Pro in 2013 at a good discount. Never bought apple care for it.

Still as good as new today and plenty of power even by today’s laptop standards.

Hi fellows. If I wanna purchase something explicitly from the US Mac App Store, may I know how to topup/ purchase iTunes gift card credits for it? Since I can’t use SG CC/PayPal account with the US store?

Set the region to United States and pay with SG card/ PayPal. Else you can buy iTunes gift card and top up the wallet.

Just realized one thing:
because I'm currently signed in to my OSX App Store using an US iTunes account, I can't change region (while remaining signed in)
as I have unused store credit (just a small amount, inadequate to buy the app).

However, I am able to completely signout of my US account in my store and sign in using a SG account to purchase using a SG credit card (previously I'm unable to add/use a SG PayPal/SG credit card to my US iTunes account).

Hi guys

It seems that after the recent iTunes update, it takes too long for iphone to sync to my imac. It will often get stuck at step 4 where it is importing my photos to my iphone.

It used to take <5 min before the update but now it will take almost the whole night for sync to complete.

Any remedies?

Thanks!

You should be able to buy iTunes Gift card (iTunes Gift via email) from the Apple US store (Apple.com) with your SG payment method. Email the gift card to yourself and redeem on your US Apple ID

Could you check if your iPhone is up to date?

I personally haven't tried. But I have China friends who did that successfully with their China payment cards. Bought iTunes Gift via the US AOS (Apple Online Store) then redeem on their own US Apple ID. So it should work with SG cards too on US AOS.

There are also other ways like buying US iTunes Gift card off Qoo10 or Amazon or Carousell. But how official or safe are they, then I'm not sure haha.

my custom order macbook pro is scheduled to be delivered later to my office and i received an sms on monday to confirm the date. but since that sms until now, the dhl tracking last log is Departed Facility in SHANGHAI - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC.

will the item still be delivered by today? normally there's always a progressive update from my other purchases (non-apple) using DHL. i chat with DHL and they said they apple has a special tracking that dhl is not visible to see.
