I have been using my imac for the past 2 weeks - did partition my 500G HDD with boot camp but never had the need to install winxp yet - how's that? hahah

Of course, I have a PC next to my imac - shhh

Anyway, my next move is probably to remove the empty boot camp partition - any quick way to do it without me ploughing through the manual?

hi,

Ive been experiencing errors when transfering big files into my external harddisk. The harddisk is formated in MS-DOS format and the files I've been tryin to transfer over is around 4-5 gb. Is this an issue with the format of the external harddisk?

some of my DVD data discs are not being detected by my MB on the first try, sometimes i need to eject them and re-insert them for it to detect, why is this so?

movie dvds work fine though....

Noticed that most of the mac users have Adobe suite and office installed... Do you guys buy the retail or have it pre-bundled by buying from educational institutes or get it from "ahem" sources?


Am thinking of getting a Mac soon.. I can get reseller prices for Apple, however the margins reali suck... There is little or neglible margin between the reseller and educational price...

Was thinking perhaps I should get my sis to purchase one from her sch.. I suppose they are bundling Adobe's premium suite with it...

thankyou for the link i am using it right now,i was at best denki vivo playing around with the 15inch macbook pro and when i try to increase the dimmer for the backlit keyboard it show a "no entry" sign that means it is being disable that make me wonder if it is being disable natively rather than using 3rd party apps ?
