Nope...

Even if it expires, HDB will automatically extend for you..They will send u a letter if they need a reassessment...

My HLE expires before my lease agreement, they extend it automatically..My case was under old rules where HLE is valid for 3 months and only required during signing of LA..

Currently, I had gotten 00X/338 for bukit merah 4 room (not within the first 3). Wanted a flat by end of this year. Should I gamble to get tiong bahru view or go with resale unit at equally convenient location (city area-mrt) elsewhere?

If you are able to get the first 3 units why not? It is a new flat as well. Old flat bigger but you got to reno. Depends what you want in the end. Hope this helps.

Should I start shortlisting the SOBF units available in the area I applied? apply for loan? look out for resale/ec for comparison?

Alphabet infront usually stands for the rm size which you balloted for..

For example,

A - 3rm
B - 4rm
C - 5rm

You dont really have to be bothered by that alphabet..

Hi. Got my queue number and are waiting for my selection starting on Oct. Have a few questions. Can somebody help me please.

1) when we will be getting our ahg grant?
2) are we able to use our ahg grant to pay for the first 5% down payment and stamp fee during our signing of lease?

3) when booking flat, I show my valid HLE hdb letter, are we able to switch to bank loan when abt to take key which is 1 year later ?

4) My gf still studying. But she will be starting work next year after her graduation. Will her income be considered FULLY in hdb loan even if she works about 3 month to the date of taking key? or how many months she have to work for her income to be considered fully on the loan?

5) Im applying with my gf. but she has not turn 21 so hdb listed her as occupier. After she turns 21, we will be converting her to co-applicant. How much is it for the admin fee ? I have asked the customer service once but they could not answer my qns. does anyone has experience in this?

2) Grants can only be use for capital repayment including downpayment. Stamp fees must be paid using ur earned CPF O/A monies.If CPF nt enough for this then top up with cash

3) Yes

4) Doubt so..Consistent income for one whole year would be the best

Well, it depends on the percentage of drop outs..So nobody can be certain until it's near ur number..

Sales of balance flat NOT entitle the grants, like recently announced S$20,000-Proximity Housing Grant, even though HDB sell their SOBF like resale price.

We will be looking for a resale flat near my parent's place now as this $20,000 meant a lot to ppl like us.

sobf is considered as subsidised flat direct from HDB so no proximity grant which falls under resales..
