for those applying AMK SOB, which project are you all considering? Cheng San Court or Teck Ghee Parkview? Both looks good...

Cheng San court is nearer to the MRT station as compared to Teck Ghee, walking distance, so I will recommend Cheng San Court. But also must see when you want the flat to be ready also,

Teck Ghee completion date - 1Q 2017

Abit hard ah, from what I observe, I think they go by area, like A first than B than etc, thats why ANGMOKIO selection so fast.

yup, i think they go by alphabetical order. My selection date for amk is on 1 Sept...

Anyway, the new housing grant, doesn't apply to May SBF, right?

I think the we will stick to the conditions during date of application. Perhaps the Sept BTO applicants will benefit bah.

It has been announced that the new grant would be applicable to launches starting from sept 2015..

Hello! I applied for Punggol 3rm and my queue number is 13X/390. I was pretty content with that until today when I saw a question by someone else on this forum about the ethnic quota and now, I'm worried!

I'm Indian and the quota for my ethnicity is 111. So my question is: unless there are 111 Indians before me in the queue and they snap up all the flats, I'm pretty much guaranteed a flat, right?

Is that how it works? Do I have anything to worry about? I'm confused...

Well, i dare to say there wont be that many indians infront of you..

Local indians is getting lesser and lesser while those FT indians are usually PR and has already gotten a resale a few years back..

Actually it's me whom asked that question few days back to gixxer, well I also called up hdb and they say unless there's 111 indian before u then u won't have a chance to select same as mine unless there's 119 Malays before me then I won't get to select either, my que is also 13X/390

Don't need sad. SHG must return to govt when you sell the flat.

That's technically not true.
Look into the individual units under your SOBF estate, you will see that each block has it's own quota for different race.

If you see that that block has no quota for Indian / Malay, it just means you can't select that unit. Doesn't matter if you are 1st or 2nd. I believe they go by individual blocks.

e.g. Under Ethnic Quota, Blk A has 1 unit available and the quota show "Chinese - 1, Malay - 1, Indian/other - 0", it means Indians and other race can't apply for that unit.

What he is saying is basically the whole(Total) ethic quota for Punggol(5k ceiling 3rm)...

Dont talk about individual blks ethic quota first since that is selection for specific unit/blk..

If the overall Malay ethic quota let say for Punggol(5k Ceiling) 3RM is 119 and his balloted results is 150, he would not have a flat to select if there is 119 Malay applicants infront of him and all of them selects a unit..

You can go click and add the available Malay ethic quota for individual blk, they will add up to the same overall..
