Spilled some coffee (OK, a lot of coffee :) ) on my Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth and now it is dead. Let's hope there is a good deal on Cherry MX Brown KBs during Black Friday. :s13:

If it suffers from phantom presses it can be revived.
Spilled milk onto my 1 week old g910p, i took it apart and wiped off the milk.
Keycaps got sticky but i took them all out and clean the switches.

You can try la

:) Definitely will salvage the key caps, a couple were new (replacements) from Razer. Probably the switches from function and macro keys as well as these were seldom used and its always good to have spares.

If you're game, turn on oven at low, turn it off and leave the kb in it. Once the coffee dries it may work again. Then disassemble n clean. Else, its an excuse to buy new. :D

well there is a safer ways to do it, heard that some people use some alcohol (not those u drink la ofc) and wash with it. but not sure how long will it get to work again.

but ofc this is another solutions i wouldn't reco is to have a tub full of uncooked rice and buried your keyboard with it. they say the rice can help absorb the water moisture (but not sure how much it can work with milk :s11:).

The alcohol will rinse the coffee out which is a good thing. But the alcohol you get in pharmacy can be still be wet after some time, I tried cleaning something with it before. Not sure how long it'll take to dry if it gets trapped in the switches. Oven temp at least can control.

I spilled milo onto my first filco KB. Thinking it will be dead, i simply just wash it under running tap, and dip it inside a pail of water. Took out and let it dry.

2 days later it still work with zero problems and i sold it off. Of cos, the buyer knew of this la. :s13:

Not recommended to try however. :s13:

Thanks! Oh, it's the mini version so won't fit my Ducky :(

Any recommendations for PBT keycaps, OEM profile? Looking for something non-backlit, non-flashy colours and good fonts... Personally I like the designs of Tai-haos but the coating sucks..

Was looking at some npkc pbt caps. Was on Aliexpress. I want all black double shot but they don't have it.

apparently don't need...

btw is anyone using taihao keycaps here? today while removing the spacebar the whole stem (basically the + thing) came off. Then I tried on a spare keyboard and the stem came off as well. It's like there's something wrong with the spacebar itself... Luckily I was able to fit the stem back in. However, whenever I use that same spacebar, the stem will always come out with the key, and it's really scary...

the stem can be removed one, don't worry. I have a couple of sets of keyboards with tai hao keycaps. besides a bit thin, everything else is quite good. especially colors, superb, I think it's oem profile, which some don't like. I'm fine with it.

Koenig;

11.11 is this weekend. take a look on TB, I'm sure there's something for you.

Hmm just wondering when you take out the space bar does it come out easily? Or need to use considerable force?

best if you have 2 keycaps puller, one on each side, should require some force, to loosen it up.

did that and the stem still came out. Funnily when I pull from the side the stem still remains intact
