this is mine speed on SH MaxMobile Ultimate 7.2Mbps plan. i'm using acer aspire 3935 with the given huawei E1750. tested in central area with signal strength of 94%

btw, anyone use the prolink PHS300
3.75G USB HSUPA Modem instead of the huawei devices?... Can it be used on the SH sim card? Saw it in SLS. will it be better or same?...
Yes, other devices can be used, so long you know the configuration. Speed wise is not sure, cos it depends on area and number of users connected to the base station.

Singtel mobile BB is getting from bad to worst. I am using a business plan 2MB, complaining is a pain , CS can tell me full of craps and bulls stories. The qualities of the BB is crawling like max 3Kps for both upload and download in Orchard Road. Singtel cannot even handle normal BB user than why push MIO or even start MIO. The customer service is also very poor. This is also reflects on the service of Singapore, giving others a bad impression. I once met a Korean friend he tells me look you call this fast , have you not been to Korea?

Korea broadband is very fast.I tested the speed and it gives me 40Mbps.And I use the connection in a hotel with free internet.I used speedtest.com.sg and it max out. What is our 100Mbps plan?Do we really get 100Mbps?

Yeah getting better indeed. Sometimes, will just use my M1 iPhone to tether at night. Able to stream youtube videos w/o buffering..

not possible, they are telco, u need to use their service to get their subsidized price....:s7::s7:

u should know if u go telco shop buy hp without plan, u are paying much higher premium than outside shop.....;);)

the price with prepaid data sim card is way much much lower than outside retail price for sure, i can guarantee that u cannot get any price lower outside for huawei modem........;)

is it possible to take these mobile broadband sim cards which is suppose to be used with the USB key modem and put in an iphone and tether to laptop

in other words, use iphone to replace the USB key modem.

And the 3 mobile providers continue their sucking spree...

Isn't there any way for them to add more capacity on their network and backhaul to accomodate the explosive growth in users?

Capacity can't be added over night... Still need to lay cables, need authorities to approve... I long given up mobile broadband at my house area, already been asking them to add a repeater/ base station near my house area because the signal is weak so resulted in poor speeds since 2006/2007 till now. Now my mobile broadband only used at my office.. home uses fixed line BB.

Urgh, that's ridiculous.
I think of the 3 telcos, StarHub's seems to be the best.
