Anyone can recommend me a good place to get USB modem? Want to get one for my laptop. Will get multi-sim with my current M1 iPhone plan. Don't want keep tether as very mafan plus phone become super hot. Also calls keep coming in and disrupt my internet service! I see on HWZ cheapest only $80. Got any below $50?+ On a budget here hehe. Don't mind if second hand or not.

Hi all,

I have been experiencing problems with my Huawei E220 with my Macbook Pro. Internet will disconnect every now and then (frequency about 10 minutes apart) while the toolbar will still display the time connected.

I have to restart my computer in order to use it again and the same cycle usually happens. This does not happen on my laptop running Windows 7.

I am wondering if anyone has the same issues or have any advices?

my office is in Jalan besar. i am using 21mbps mobile bb from m1...

slow like shiat ah...

i am tethering with my DHD which is by starhub....much more faster than m1 21mbps.

Hi,I am also on M1 7.2Mbps at Jalan Besar Plaza.Which part of Jalan Besar you in?Is your 21Mbps able to get higher speed?Mine will range from 1mbps to 3Mbps.Never exceed that.Should sign up for 4Mbps plan.

call their tech help desk and time to time screenshot your speedtest send to them.

after sometime ask them either let you early terminate or pay lower subscription up to 4mbps

No use.They will say it is a shared bandwidth.Our IDA also not doing anything.

For that package, the model only support up to 2mbps...

No, that modem is capable of 3.6Mbps download and 384kbps upload

hi, look thru the pages, seems all 3 telcos have got their share of ups and downs. mostly location based.
Looking at the first post M1 seems good for Hougang area. considering to get M1 2mbps plan, any comments/advise? for hougang area, for surfing and streaming of non HD videos. thanks in advance!

just use my phones to tether...

have not exceeded 12gb yet

usually only 1gb or so if i connect to laptop

I got a old Singtel E169 huawei modem,
then yest sign up M1 MBB, cum wif Huawei E153.

Tested wif E153, speed can reach 1.4Mbps most of the time,
but switch to E169, speed slower ~0.45Mbps.

Both using its own driver on WINDOWS.

Bro. How u do it man? U wrote in to IDA? please advice cause I'm using M1 21mbps and e speed sucks. Am thinking of canceling e plan.

Fortunately, i still can hit 2Mbps.

Quite tempted to subscribe to the 7.2Mbps. but then think think, in the end better not.
