i check with speedpost, the item was send to a pasir ris but i stay at clementi, and the name on the item dont belong to me...
the person had sent to the wrong person or given me the wrong tracking number...

Sorry.. just wanna clarify, does the seller check the panels for DP before shipping? Because I know the gmarket HappyMall seller does that for the PCBANK monitors.

I mean.. $50 cheaper and you're pretty much guaranteed that there will be no DPs.. the only downside is that the monitor doesn't look at good. I feel they both use the same panels though (batch is questionable though..)

Seriously ... I don't know which seller will check for DP.

If that is your concern, not to worry ... Happy Mall in Gmarket sells CrossOver and Achieva Shimian monitor as well. And his pricing is very competitive. I almost ordered from them.

To me ... buying online is a gamble .... so even if they promise no DP ... but they'll still require that we bear the shipping charges back for the exchange right?

Or are they going to bear the charges for shipping it back to them for exchange?

Think about this. The fact that Gmarket sells "perfect pixel" monitors with DP tests at additional costs.. it only means that non-"perfect pixel" monitors will be bound to have defect pixels since the good ones are already set aside by buyers willing to pay extra.

Anyways, mine has 1 stuck pixel. It's blue in colour and only visible with black background and when you're close. Very reasonable I must say

Yeah.. that is one lightweight brick. But anyways, I'm pretty sure you can find a replacement for that brick.

try calling up the shipping company? with your tracking number you may be able to go collect it or something.

EDIT: oh just read your previous post. You have to give it a few days and if you've contacted happymall during the weekends, he's not going to reply. most of these sellers work only on weekdays.

Yah ... the screen should last ... but not sure about the electronic boards in the monitor. As for the power brick ... should not be too difficult to find a replacement.

Can anybody confirm that LG or Samsung monitor uses similar adapter connector?

Their response over weekends are usually slower. Maybe they don't work on weekends. Think wait till Monday or probably Tuesday ... if no reply .. then you can start to do something.

How did you pay for your purchase? PayPal? Or via credit card directly?

i look around for a mini display to dvi, it seems theres only up to a maximum 1080p. any other peeps can go up further to 2560x1440?

Then you can check with Apple and asked them whether can the device you use connects to their 27" monitor and how.

If they say cannot .. then don't risk liao lor.
