All these skipping train stations means the train depot at the receiving end and the interim depot need to cater for demand and the entire rail network is not fully utilised just in time = lose $$there are also some stations they can "cut in" the middle and skipping all the stations at the end so that more ppl can board from the middle
for e.g. east-west line from far east to town, they sometimes have trains that start from tanah merah during peak hours and skip all the tampines and pasir ris ppl
for paya lebar circle line sometimes there are also trains starting in the middle track from paya lebar
NEL should have some stations which are like that too. if not then it was bad design right from the start and nothing much can be helped apart from lower population or building alternate MRT lines.
My proposal is to stop new citizens and PR from applying for or buying flats in those towns.

Simi is rationalising bus service?The mistake was rationalising the bus services. They should have kept the bus services operating.

train frequency can only increase so much due to how much infrastructure can support.The main problem causing the issue is train frequency. It can be solved by increasing train frequency but they won’t not do it cos it would increase cost.
They are striving for optimal train capacity instead of passenger comfort with more space

suppose now Punggol to DG can support 100 trains, you increase to 150 trains, means trains have to start waiting in between stations for the earlier trains to leave. This end up just create congestion. Also, the stopping and going of trains leads to a phantom jam.
In simpler terms: Imagine a line of trains. If the first train stops at a station, the train behind it will also stop halfway. This continues down the line, creating a wave of train stopping and going, even though there's nothing wrong with the track itself.
Will not work as you still need to take the train to other suburbs.Find work outside of town area.
