remember to post your hardware details... network card, router, windows version, processor, ram, would help better in seeing if your computer can actually utilise 1gbps...

would also help if you do the tests on various devices.

Had my Installation yesterday, It went smooth this time with a good signal strength in the TP.

Internal speed test looks good ( 870++ DL and 470++ UL )

Router was lagging a bit initially. Installed the new official firmware (RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4_374_4887), performed hard reset and configured from scratch, it's back to normal.

Haven't faced any Issues with Whatsapp ( using Android 4.4) picture upload.

Overall, nothing to complain :)

Thanks to MR team for following up with ON to fix the Issue.

Cheers!

Have tried the default firmware that came with the router(AC68u) and also merlin 40 alpha firmware + hard reset but no go. Was on static ip since sign up for MR 2 years ago. Customer ID: C1000915

PC spec:
Intel i5 4570 + MSI H87 G43 gaming(Killer Ethernet )
MSI 280x
12Gb ram
Windows 8.1
Crucial M4 SSD

It seems like my ASUS RT-AC56U router (Fimware Version: 3.0.0.4.374_4561) is capping the download speed.

Direct connection to ONT using Cat5e/6 cable

Wired connection via ASUS RT-AC56U router using the same Cat5e/6 cable as above

Have not try direct to ONT. Just need to connect the lan cable direct to ont from pc? Need to restart both pc and ont?

Yes, test with the same LAN cable from router to PC.

Do not need to restart both PC and ONT.

Hi guys,

Over the past 7 days, Asus has released 2 new beta firmware for us to do internal testing. We are currently testing the durability of these firmware. Once we are able to verify that the firmware is ready for deployment, it will be available for download on Asus website

I just tried direct to ONT, disable antivirus and result are almost similar. I saw at the start of the test that the figure is at ~500+Mbps. It continued to drop till the final results.

@xrenol u got factory reset?

Factory reset on ONT or ASUS router?

I did not do any factory reset on the ASUS router but I think the MR FE did a factory reset on the ONT during the installation.
