i tried with internet download manager 18 stream.
burst up to 40MB/s then average at about 22

single stream climbs at 4+ i closed it lol

22MB/s????? that about 170mbps.... not to shabby I must say... especially when it is doing encoding at the backend also, and so many people clicking it at the same time...

not too shabby i agree.

i'm pulling my hairs out trying to get chromecast to work for netflix.
it used to work with iptables configured to access MR's dns on N66U
now it won't load.. desktop, ipad and ps3 works fine.

not on the streaming device.
also connection test on the ps3 errors on d/l and u/l

another thing is android upload is not working....

gosh... ... !!!

Oh well.

Advice for those who is going to do the MR installation and new sign up,

1. Be prepared as MR might not turn up on the planned date. And they will not inform you. If they are not there after 1-2 hr of stated time, pls call the customer service and ask.

2. I signed up in Jan, so after 3 months, they told me Open net does not have sufficient resources for the fibre rollout. Delay 30 days for my installation again.. So, prepare to WAIT.

3. Have another ISP hooked up first, as I predict there will be more screw up from MR in the future.

4. Emails to MR customer service is useless, just call their hotline and ask for emails writing of whatever problem ya facing.

Are you using teleport or your own VPN provider for netflix?

This is happening to me today.. my initial appointment was set on 28th Mar for opennet installation but before that date, MR sent me sms that said my appointment was cancelled until further notice due to opennet capacity issue. Last Friday at 2pm i got a call from MR, she communicated to me that my initial OpenNet appointment would be shifted to 31st Mar 2014 at 9-12am and i took leave for that in case if they need to check something in my place. On 31st Mar around 11am I got an sms that said MR will come to my place to install the broadband on 2nd Apr 2014 2pm-6pm which i assumed everything went well with opennet installation in my building.

Today (2nd Apr) I took another leave to stay at home waiting for MR to come but they never showed up till 5.30pm then I gave a call to their CS after waiting for about 20 mins, someone picked up and i asked about the appointment and she just simply said that there's no appointment for me today until further notice as there's issue with opennet. this really made me upset and frustrated because its not what was communicated to me earlier. :s22:

I am working in professional service industry myself and i can say this kind of service is really the worst that can happen - no communication, no integrity and the worst of all even the written commitment was treated like nothing as if our time is not valuable at all. it is not only the waiting time that practically restricted us to go anywhere and do anything else but also the leaves taken for the both appointments - opennet and MR installations that they never showed up which can be translated into monetary value as most of us could cash-in our leaves balance by end of Financial Year.

I hope MR really have a good explanation for all of this - definitely this is not OpenNet issue anymore, it's much more fundamental than that like risk & issue management, communication and commitment issues. :s11:

Consolidating for proper feedback and complaint channel (IDA,and others)

Hi Guys,

I am so fed-up with the irresponsible and lack of customer respect with Myrepublic that I want to consolidate all affected brothers here who have to take leave to be at home for the planned appointment date and time but only to be greeted with no-show or last minutes call without any service recovery.

Kindly email to me with the details maybe the Account number if you dont mind and once i consolidated I will initiate a former complaint with the relevant party. I really hope IDA will do something about this as its affecting a lot of customer and this is not correct.

Louis

Furthermore in the appointment SMS sent by MR to me stated that I need to pay 50 sgd if change appointment within 24 hours while it's ok for them not even to show up without notice!

luckily i signed for 300mbps.. i knew that it will be hard to maximize usage of 1gbps.. let alone hardware limitations.
