lol I am not MR employee but after looking at it here's what that came across my mind:

-Looks like the person is a Chinese National, since its written in mandarin, and even use words Singaporeans probably won't use normally, like 光纤,星河 (starhub) and "讲啥" (although the grammar in the middle sucks lol). Besides that also mentioning that he rented a room to someone else. -----> Not against Chinese Nationals but I am saying that its high chance they are surfing only mainland sites and its well known right now that MR is slow on that. Shouldn't be a problem if one is not surfing mainland sites all the time.

-He says he suspected that MR lost his contract, but then go on to say that MR says they lost the contract? So did MR really lost his contract hence was slow on the installation or was just his speculation? :s11::s11:

-He goes on to say that he signed up Starhub's fibre, then says that MR sent letter demand for payment for the full 24 months contract, obviously its because he MR didn't receive payment. However he says that the service has been in use for 12 months, so its really strange...MR only chase customer to pay after a year? :s11::s11:

-From my understanding he said he used the service for a year and didn't pay a cent for it before and he kept quiet about it then now write something publicly and complain that the company is unreasonable and has bad service? :s11: WOW. :s22:

Hi, as you know we have done our best to assist every way possible and solve problem within our reach. However, this is due to the fact the above mentioned customer have been delaying payment for several months and refuses to make payment despite multiple payment.

As such we could only hire a external credit chasing company to assist us in hope of getting back the payment. We believe this is fair, as he has breach the contract by not paying on time or despite constant reminder. Hence, the termination of his line. Under the contract, termination before 24 months require the the payment of the remaining contract + the outstanding payment.

We believe our other customer are enable to judge for us.

Most important. He mention signing up in August. However, there's only 1 fair nearby that period and it's In sep. The truth is it fair will always result in a long delay due to open net. And if he did sign up In sep, means standard installation Is in early Oct or end sept and according to him, there was indeed a long delay. Which means late Oct or later. means it's less than 11 months while according to him 12 months. Again, untrue information.

There are many similar cases where customer refuse to pay for any services like the above, provided he is a true customer.

But the problem with these Chinese national is they said myrepublic cannot promise to deliver the service. Even the debt collection company send a letter to demand for payment or even a civil lawyer from a law firm, it is very useless. If the debt collector go and visit his house, they may call police and reported that they were harassed.

I had deal with such company before, so in the end we both see each other in court, myrepublic can use small claim to do it better. But do note that success rate of getting any or full amount is very little if he show this which I capture on your myrepublic web site in front of registrant or in trial.

Yes, dont under estimate debt collector, there are lots of legal ways to get pple to pay up, eg send legal letter of demands, followed by filing a court writ of summons, and then writ of seizure on the assets in the house, and lastly bankruptcy if the amt is more than 10K SGD (including interest fees, admin charges, legal fees etc).

i know of a case where a debtor owed a bank 1000+ sgd after paying majority of his debts, he refused to pay the remaining 1000+, the bank managed to get a court order to seize his assets in his landed property. and this guy had to pay up in the end, while incurring more legal fees.

So don't play play with debt collectors :p

The major amount will come from the legal fees than the principal amount.

Yes, indeed, a lot of debtors thought they only owed the principal amt, but after adding all the misc charges and legal fees, it will grow to 10K SGD quickly, and the debtors can be sued for bankruptcy.

I got a quick question. Is it a good idea to do this? TP--->ONT---> Lan cable (cat5e/cat6) to my room ----> RG---> Lan to my ps3? As I have starhub broadband in the living room and TP is in my living room. Just a thought as i have thought of homeplug but i have read that the connection varies with the lectrical wiring in my house. Plus I think Lan would be cheaper. In my opinion. :s13:

In the end, myrepublic want to recover S$700 then like less than S$500 or equal to nothing due to legal fee.

That why sure will suffer loss. Not so easily to perform seizure unless an court order is issue like due date normally 2 weeks which they default payment.

Once a seizure Is done, they have to conduct an auction to get the goods if can be sold off successfully then you may get back little subtract the various proceeding.

Perform an seizure is to let they ashamed of what they default in be it in home or office. Not a good way getting claim fully. I have done with civil lawyers and small claim end up like I having much losses, but just to enforce order base on my moral principle on such kind of people down there what they are doing to us.

As far as i know all the legal fees will be borne by the party that lost the case in the court.

I did. I just managed to get on phone with someone from MR customer service a few minutes ago before I come back to hwz. My email address was wrong all along so I didn't got any updates. :(

Anyway, I logged into account and found that something is wrong with my subscription.. And I doubt the last 2 bills deduction actually went through, so I might be bounded for the 20 bucks penalty. :s22:

Should I raise this to support? Or you are able to help me, nivleK?
