Cause they oligopoly wanted to earn more ma .They treating singaporeans like carrots for a long long time due to no competition hence no incentive to give any better service or prices.

But at $400 its totally out of reach for alot of people. Unless there are alot of people who actually sign up for this sort of plan that we dont know.

If its the same as what I see now for my torrents, then there is chance that it is possible to hit 900mbps with the correct equipment and torrents with good seeds. OR a combination of more than perhaps 5 torrents.

Maybe to use high costs for higher bandwidth plans to make sure people will pay high for lower bandwidth, won't put it past them to do tricks like this, very common tactic overseas. only not sure why purple take so long to do this if that's the case.

It'll be the same as it ever was - as good as it ever is . You actually notice that once your speed gradually increases, you'll notice several factors that actually affect the overall speed that you receive. For instance, you'd have to take into account the hosting server's hard disk I/O, the hosting server's bandwidth utilization, possible congestion along different routes, just to name a few. These are all factors that can affect the overall speed that you receive, even already visible on 100Mbps plans, even. While we can't do anything about the bottleneck at the download server's end, we will always try to optimize routing that we notice along our paths - do feel free to drop us any PM about any sites or downloads you feel are not up to par with your expectations to look into, and we'll advise you accordingly

i have the same sentiments too. but i have read through previous post by lawzer saying:

"Just want to give my assurance that all customers will not have any issues getting this 49.99 or 59.99 price point. The limit on subscribers getting it is only for new subscribers. Current subscribers of course will not have any limits on this, be it you opt in today or 1 year from now, it will still be there for you."

For those who don't need the $100 voucher to buy a new router, can MR offer something else instead such as free Teleport after the free period etc.

For those recontracting to the new plan, cannot order at the Mega launch?
Thinking of going down to take a look this weekend.

Yup, you can actually go down to Mega Launch to recontract, upgrade or sign up. Online would actually be a lot easier though, and save you from all the hustle and bustle you'd have to do on that day also ( though you can go for the gaming competition and food :3 )

Question:In regards to the new 1gbps,I got no contract, is this a limited time offer? But I shifting to new place in 2nd quarter this year,do I sign up now or later?? is this transferable to the new location?

I got static ip and the router is free if I recontract? Can choose router? Can choose edgemax since you are offering for business plans?

we don't offer no contract anymore. There's a relocation fee applicable hence we advise you to install on new place directly. Static ip can be transfer. Router is optional. Only Asus router.

Does the 1Gbps really make sense? I guess this only applied local SGP traffic? Currently MR Overseas traffic does not even catch up to the 100/150mpbs.. I am already paying $48.88 for 150Mbps. Does anyone know how much is to upgrade to 1Gbps as my contract not ends yet?
