changing from a RSP to an OpCo takes time... and its a sh*t load of time
getting OpenNet to do new setup for individual users takes time... and it a lot more time than above
deploying people to go down and change ONT and comission takes time...

I am surprised that they can actually start doing beta installation in feb (0.5mths from now) and commercial installation in march (1.5 months from now)

They charge you = still gt connection... same as other isp. but price may be diff.

Now i am quite confused.

My contract end this coming July.
I chat with the online help and this is what i understand.

If i didn't sign up for this promo, once my contract end, my 100Mbps will automatically move up to 1Gbps plan as this is what MR planned for all clients.

If i sign up now, i need to wait till March and keep finger crossed i am among the earlier batch who get the upgrade else by the time it is my turn, it could means near my contract end date in July.

So, why should i sign up now? I don't understand the re-contract benefit if any. Or probably i missed out cos the website do not spell it out clearly and this thread is moving at godspeed pace which i readthink or hearsay till i blur.

So, all in all, sign up for this promo or not when my contract ending this July? What benefit do i get for a re-contract? Or in my case, is this consider a re-contract or what?

Your contract will restart 2 year from the date of installation, not accumulated.
OTC is one time charge. for upgrading customer or new customer, they will need to pay this OTC.

I'm interested in the 1000mbps plan. Can someone let me know when will the opennet come and install the ONT if I sign up? Cos my new place is still under renovation and opennet has not come to activate the ONT yet. Thanks.
