Usually, port out from SIMBA is a non issue and on the same day at 11pm.

I bought it over the counter at that authorized reatialer shop at TJ Road, Blk 1. In fact, any retailer shops listed on Heya webby are good.

Very simple. Tell them you wanna buy Heya sim and port. They will do it on the spot by keying in your desired port in number. Less than 10 minutes process. Paid $10, pick up the sim card and go home and wait. Not supposed to pay anything other than that $10. Not even 5 cents extra for a plastic bag to tapao you Heya SIM card.

The port out and port in process will take place between 11pm to 230am.

i have just received an sms from singtel saying that the port-in has been successful and i can start using my new heya sim from 9 Nov 2023.

anyway i saw that the simcard they gave me has a temporary number. how do i use that, or i will never get to use that?

Found this on FB, posting for everyone's benefit.

Heya is not for everyone. It is only for those who do not mind putting in extra effort to monitor the expiry date for your data plan.

If you can do that, it is $10 for 100GB for 30 days (50GB immediately plus 50GB extra one to three days later) on Singtel which is the best deal. You also get free incoming calls, free incoming SMS, free caller ID, and VOLTE. There are other promotions from time to time, but these features above have been there on Heya since day one.

Note that the retailer should not be overcharging you; new line + port in should cost $10 and not a cent more. The retailer needs to complete a two-step process: Register + Port in (Keep Existing Number), and once that is done, take note of the temporary number and top-up $10 to the temporary number (not your port-in number). This should all be done in a single visit and should take no more than 15 minutes.

You should only buy your plan on the very last day of the expiry if your current plan, as the 30 days expiry starts on the date you purchase the plan. It does not extend the expiry of your current plan. For example, if your current plan expires on 15 August 2023, you should buy your next plan anytime on 15 August 2023; if you purchase it later, you lose the rollover data; if you purchase it earlier, the 30 days starts from the date of your purchase, and not 15 August 2023.

Only sign-ups need to be done physically at a retailer; top-ups can be done online via Lazada or Shopee. The links are all found on the official Heya website.

what you mean hierarchy..mvno like heya buys bandwidth from singtel and sell cheaper to consumers .. if congested time don't expect peak performance

My company mobile phone is under Singtel corporate plan - the data speed is a bit intermittent during evening peak period when I in MRT (Buona Vista, Clementi, Jurong East).

So be it heya or even Singtel corporate - when you are in crowded places, fast data speed is hit or miss

Or is it depend on the phone? E.g. better processor phones (iphone 15, samsung s23 ultra) will get faster data speed?

They overcharge.

If the bros and sis here are helpful, they can share which Heya retailers are honest. But you don't see people sharing such valuable information at all. Or, very little.

Note that Heya doesn't buy data from Singtel, since Heya is part of Singtel, just like Gomo is also part of Singtel. They are given a lower priority on Singtel's network.

At the end of the day, even the lowest priority on Singtel's network is still better than the highest priority on M1 or Simba's network.

You can never use the temporary number. Your Heya line is dead until the port-in is successful. You should be able to use it from about 2:30am onwards on 9 Nov 2023, according to @kelvinti .

Sounds like in terms of real world usage, Heya isn't any worse than Singtel corporate plan.

I mentioned it before but since it gets buried in this long thread...

I was in the ground floor of a crowded indoor food court in the CBD area. The store accepted Paynow which I could scan and pay via my mobile banking app as I was on Heya. A lady who was trying to pay via Paynow was on Circles.Life (using M1's network) and couldn't pay at all, no matter how hard she tried. She had zero or very weak reception.

She literally had to walk 50 meters to go outside, execute the Paynow transaction, then come back and show the successful transaction to the store cashier.

At the end of the day, speedtests only tell you part of the story; it's the real world usage that counts.
