Singtel is really confusing now. Okay, a bit better than the new Starhub (Star) Prepaid plans.

So they have both SIngtel hi! and Singtel hi! Prepaid now.

1) SIngtel hi! FAQ
https://cdn1.singteldigital.com/con...ts-services/mobile/hi/pdf/singtel-hi-faqs.pdf

Please note that the following content is only applicable to Singtel hi! customers, not Singtel hi! Prepaid
customer

2) Singtel hi! terms and conditions
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/hi/hi-terms-and-conditions

Singtel hi! is a postpaid SIM only mobile plan provided by Singtel Mobile. Your activation and continued use of Singtel hi! constitutes acceptance of our terms and conditions as amended from time to time (“Singtel hi! Terms”).

3) Singtel hi Prepaid terms and conditions
https://www.singtel.com/personal/terms/prepaid-mobile-terms

4) My understanding for now.
For $12 (S$10 for port-in offer) and $5 hi! Plan terms and conditions, click here. ---> Postpaid plan
For $15 hi! Plan and Tourist SIM terms and conditions, click here. --> Prepaid plan

1. Singtel still have the traditional prepaid services. The focus is actually 5G.

Top up for 5G+ 250GB at S$15 per month
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/prepaid-plans/hi-topup-cards

And Singtel offers free 5G+ SIM Card replacement for Singtel Prepaid customers.
https://www.singtel.com/content/dam/singtel/personal/products-services/mobile/prepaid-plans/Terms & Conditions/5G Change Sim Location_01072025_v2.pdf

2. M1 prepaid plan: still the traditional prepaid-plan. The top-up is not cheap for data.
https://www.m1.com.sg/mobile/prepaid-plans/m-card/top-up

M1 Maxx plans probably offer much better value for both number-parking use case (M1 Maxx Base Plan) and regular data use case (S$10 per month 5G plan) than M1 Prepaid Card.

3. The new Starhub (Star) Prepaid Plans are the most confusing one, it has "Prepaid" name but in reality are a post-paid plan (up to 10 lines and not three lines). The main good thing is that is is 5G enabled and with 120 days grace period. Data bundle is not good. My daughter is using it -- Starhub Prepaid S (automatically upgraded to this plan from the existing Starhub Prepaid card), S$10 per month for 80GB. Initially I wanted to port it out but later think it is actually not a bad plan to keep for my daughter (secondary student) as she does not need much data.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/mobile/starhub-prepaid.html

For regular data usage and larger data usage than 80GB, then Eight may be better but Eight 5G is at least S$14.80 per month now. Eight 4G at S$8 per month is cheaper but 4G speed is really not that good with Eight 4G.

4. Comparison of Singtel Hi! post-paid plan with Starhub Prepaid Plan (also apost-paid plan even with the "prepaid" name).
If you compare Singtel Hi! S$10 (port-in)/S$12 per month plan, and Starhub Prepaid S at S$10 per month and Prepaid M at S$15 per month plan, the only question is whether it is 5G enable or not. If yes, the S$10 (port-in)/S$12 Singtel Hi plan is kind comparable with Starhub Prepaid M plan but cheaper (better value).

you can’t find the original Singtel Hi Prepaid on Singtel website anymore. Singtel is following Starhub’s footstep and exiting prepaid?

You can. The S$15 SIM Card is 5G+ enabled. The S$8 is 4G only. Both are traditional prepaid plans.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/pr...lans&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=dataplans

Top-up for the above prepaid plan.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/prepaid-plans/hi-topup-cards

I just checked, Singtel now has two apps with "hi!" in the names, one for the existing Singtel hi! Prepaid plans (I have the existing Singtel prepaid card) and the other one for the new Singtel hi! plans.

My current understanding.
1. The $12 (S$10 for port-in offer) and $5 hi! Plan --> Post paid plan, monthly top-up, using Singtel hi! app. This is replacing heya.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/hi/hi-terms-and-conditions

2. The S$15 5G plan is the Pre-paid plan, as well as the S$8 4G plan, using Singtel hi! Prepiad app. The users can choose to carry out monthly top-up or ad-hoc top-up. Top up is more expensive.

can you imagine some buy singtel hi! prepaid topup for their singtel hi! postpaid lol, knowing singtel the topup will just disappear into the void.

and how many will walk into singtel shop and ask for help but sorry you are using hi! postpaid you can only use online chat.

its less likely to make this mistakes with a brand segmentation like heya.

I think they will combine the help channel for Singtel hi! and Singtel hi! Prepaid. And Singtel shop will support both.

I tend to think Singtel hi! will be a better heya with similar offering but better help because of Singtel branding. Just my personal opinion.

StarHub Shop does support the new StarHub Prepaid Plan (Part of Star SIM Only Plan). But of course not giga and Eight.

Unlike M1 Maxx which the M1 Shop does not support. M1 does use the same help line for M1 Prepaid and Maxx.

Basically my thoughts are like following, main brand support will be better than sub-brand, even for PrePaid.

1) Singtel hi! and hi! Prepaid Will have better support than Gomo. Of course less than SingTel SIM Only Plans.

2) M1 Prepaid will have better support than Maxx. Of course less than M1 Bespoke SIM Only plans though.

3) StarHub Prepaid (postpaid plan with Prepaid name) will have better support than giga. Of course less than the new StarHub SIM Only plans.

And StarHub does not want people to associate Eight with StarHub brand, even though Eight is a wholly owned subsidiary. Eight also seems to run pretty independently.

With Heya suddenly being replaced by SingTel Hi!, the positioning of SingTel’s sub-brands is becoming rather unclear. What’s the real difference between SingTel Hi! and GOMO, and who exactly are they targeting? What about network priority, and customer support differentiation?

It would make more sense for SingTel to consolidate Heya under GOMO, allowing the company to focus more efficiently on just three mobile services:
  1. SingTel Postpaid (5G+ Contract / SIM Only)
  2. GOMO (4G & 5G+ SIM Only Cheaper alternative)
  3. SingTel Hi! (Prepaid)
For now Hi! $5/10 promo /12 monthly recurring plan only support SingTel 4G, excluding the one time $15 plan which does have 5G+ 😵

Another possibility:

Gomo going to die? Because Singtel hi! is easier? And just let SingTel MVNOs to fight with Maxx, Eight and SIMBA.

Same for StarHub: giga going to die? Because Eight is good?

Reason of my understanding is from Singtel website.

In the bottom of the page, they mention of the following two sentences.

By the way, the SingTel Hi! app and the new yellow GOMO app look almost identical, they likely share the same base code, just with different UX designs. It’s also strange that the GOMO Data Bank still hasn’t returned, even though it’s already November. Seems like something’s going on behind the scenes, especially with the sudden appearance of the new SingTel Hi! app.

Just guessing, perhaps singtel is going to revamp their sub-brands just like what starhub is going to do.

Singtel is at the verge of dropping to Singapore no.2, once M1 and Simba merge. The total subscribers M1+Simba combined is just less than a million behind singtel. Hence, singtel needs to start changing.

They should also give their partners (Zym/Vivifi/Zero1/CMLink) the free IDD mins.

https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/mobile/telco/heya-singapore-stops-new-customers

Singtel’s budget mobile sub-brand heya, has stopped accepting new customer sign-ups, according to an updated set of terms and conditions published on Singtel’s website. The notice, effective 3 November 2025, states that “new customer sign-ups for heya will no longer be accepted”, although existing users may continue if they renew or top up their plans on time.

A note at the bottom of the heya site states that auto-renewal is only applicable for existing customers, which aligns with the terms and conditions stating that new sign-ups are not accepted.

What happens to current heya customers?

Existing customers remain unaffected for now. According to the updated T&Cs:

  • heya users may continue their plans as long as they renew on time
  • Plan benefits remain intact
  • The S$8 data-only plan was discontinued earlier in June 2025
  • Terminated SIMs cannot be reinstated

IMHO.
Free 5G !!!

It will be great for Singtel to offer an upgrade path to heya users, say to Gomo 5G plan or Singtel SIM Only plans, if the user chooses to upgrade.

Example: S$5 OFF for six months for Gomo 5G plans, S$10 OFF for six months for Singtel SIM Only 5G plans.

HWZ: Singtel’s heya stops taking new customers, sparking questions about the future of the MVNO *updated*

It is looking very much like heya’s days are numbered. Shilpa Aggarwal, Vice President of Mobile, Customer Solutions at Singtel Singapore, said that heya has offered customers a flexible and affordable mobile plan with local and roaming data.

“To give them even more value and rewards, we are upgrading them to the Singtel hi! Plan, where they can enjoy enhanced benefits, including 250GB local Singapore data and 250GB roaming data for just $12/month,” she said, “For seniors, we are introducing a new Senior hi! Plan at $5/month.”

heya customers will be personally informed of the seamless transition to the Singtel hi! app, with migration starting from 30 November.

Unlike the S$5.09 Mobile Access for Seniors Plan that is only applicable to recipients of the IMDA Mobile Access for Seniors Plan redemption letter, the new S$5.00 Senior plan is a prepaid one and offers:

  • 200GB of local data
  • 200GB for Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand
  • Up to 100 IDD minutes to 9 destinations
  • 300 local min talktime
  • 50 free SMSs
