US Mkt had crashed last night. Those who had bought during the past 2 years should be feeling panic, unless has huge war chest.

This one not considered crash lah. Down 2000 points, maybe still can consider crash.

For 5 years I never used any facilities except parking and washing car :s13:

Now looking for resale HDB flat where government will give rebate on maintenance fee as well as u-save etc.

Any of your family member using? If no use then should not stay condo lah.

I personally prefer HDB than a condo. We rent a 5 room HDB near Lakeside MRT, it is so huge 1300 sqft and rent is 1800. It is corner flat.

The other day we went to Caspian to meet a friend which is across the canal, it is so small 2 beddee. The kitchen is like a toilet size. I understand Singaporeans don't like to cook so kitchen is no use. But still. The rent is 2600. Such a waste, I prefer our huge 5 room HDB.

The average rent in my area for 5 room is like 2.1k. But I negotiated well. The house was vacant for about 6 months, PRC owner, always out of country on business, no time, owners agent is kind of not that smart. I took the house as is, most people ask this ask that. I said I will take it as is, give it to me for 1.8k. It was a bit of a low ball offer, but I also said my EP is 3 years and I will take up the max lease term of 1.5 years. Finally owner agreed.

Comparing a 5 room HDB to a 2 bedder condo is like saying a lorry is better than a sedan because its bigger. People have different needs and wants.

Overhyped CBD which is bound to do poorly.
Only julong people believe it is an atas area.
No rational HQ / companies would move there.

Most people who live in Lakeside are people who work in the west area, mostly the O&G, shipping kind of jobs. I didn't find a single IT or banking guy in Lakeside.

In Tampines it so opposite, everyone there works in IT or Banking.

Your trading skills have helped in your negotiations. It is all about psychology in the bid and ask process. :s13:

Landlord is better off to accept the S$1800 offer rather than leaving it empty and generating zero income.

There's a trend of people moving in with their kid's new BTO and renting out whole flat. Looking at the number of new BTO going to be completed over next 4 years, easily add another 10,000 flats for rent in the market.

The house is empty for long means it is in quite bad condition. You get what you pay for lah.

How many BTO flats completed over the next 4 years?

Uh.. BTO is very small .. how to have multi-gen living?
it's bound to have conflicts and make the relationships worse off for parents and couple with kids.

CBD is not residential.
We expect it to be with many HQs of MNCs moving there , just like Marina Bay / Shenton Way or Bugis.
