"The lag is most obvious when you’re unlocking the Lumia 1020 straight to the camera app, which takes about five seconds of holding the shutter button before you’re ready to take a picture. The iPhone can be ready to fire in about half that time, and I definitely missed shots waiting for the "Resuming…" animation to disappear. Booting’s not the only thing that’s slow, either: the 1020’s autofocus bounces into position a half-beat slower than it should, and has to restart its search every single time you press the shutter button. Luckily the button itself has been improved, so half-pressing to focus is much easier — I took fewer accidental shots, and didn’t have to start over as often either."

That's why I kinda hate the idea of switching between lenses on Windows Phone 8. For every switching is as good as launching the app again.... But well, nothing we can do also.

How I feel

Very excited & Happy that FINALLY even THE MOST KELONG / BIASED tech website ( The Verge & Phonearena) have given very good reviews & high scores on Nokia 1020

there are some drawbacks, which I do agree as well

2000 mHa battery (realistically speaking, if you DUN PLAY WHATSAPP, LINE, Wechat, Skype - whole day) , & take 200 pics with Xenon lights, it can last you 1 day...

cant upload FULL Resolution pics onto Skydrive , Web, etc ( I do hope further O/S update, will enable this function) - who cares about the 10mb size, sometimes, DIE DIE you need that few pics, you just wana upload & keep it safe, extra copy (for whatever reasons).
