Over lunch time, drop by a Samsung shop, check with them about lollipop upgrade. They discovered my Note 3 s/w version is only 4.4.2 and hence it needs to be upgraded 4.4.4. before I can get Lollipop. The guy also mentioned that it is possible that some chips inside my phone is faulty and hence I did not hv 4.4.4.

Not to find fault with this guy but can anyone verify this?

Ok. Thanks. At least I can still wait in peace.
I recalled my wife's Note 3 was also 4.4.2 when it was updated.

Mine still on 4.4.2 cause every time I check it said I have got the latest firmware already.

Ok. We are in the same boat. For the time being, this message 'The latest updates have already been installed' is the most annoying message for the time being. :s22:

I encountered this during the update to Kitkat. Other people's phone can update except mine. So I changed CSC code to XSP and immediately I receive the OTA notifications for the updates. After which I changed back to my Singtel CSC code and now I receive the OTA notification to update to Lollipop.

Make sure you do your backups first. Changing CSC code will factory reset the phone.

Hi,

I DID IT! THANKS. I am now on Lollipop 5.0. :s13:

I have always suspected that my Note 3 has failed to receive numerous updates over the last few months, based on my wife's Note 3 experience. So, as per your suggestion, I googled the instruction, backup my data and changed the CSC. All data were erased.

The next 2 hours, it continued to receive quite a lot of updates (I don't know what they were). I just let it run, until the last update was Lollipop 5.0. I reverted the CSC back to the original one.

Everything is running smoothly and error-free so far.

Don't think I want to try the CSC option yet cause I playing game and don't want my game save to be gone as I invested a lot of time into it.

How to switch to CSC?

some expert here will teach u, look at their post u will know who had did the CSC change, maybe u can pm them or ask them here. I don't know how to do it.

http://richardjang.typepad.com/techstuffs/2012/01/how-to-check-your-samsung-galaxy-csc-version.html

Follow the instructions listed in the link above.

Do note that changing your CSC code will WIPE OUT your phone....
Back-up your phone before doing this!!!
